About this property
A beautiful log cabin home on Lake Huron, amazing lake views, hot tub, game room
We have a hidden jewel waiting for you in Cheboygan, the McIntosh Solitude Lodge. It is a beautiful rustic log cabin overlooking Lake Huron. It's about 10 minutes east of town and right on US Hwy 23. The winding 450 ft. driveway that takes you to the cabin through beautiful woods affords privacy and envelops you in Nature!
When you arrive, it looks like any other log cabin, but one look inside and you will be amazed at the solid-wood (knotty cedar) interior!
There are 4 bedrooms and 2 baths; 2200 sq ft of beautiful lodge style living space. There is a loft bedroom containing a queen bed and ensuite bath. Two bedrooms are on the main floor, one with a full bed and the second with twin bunk beds, perfect for the kids in your party. The lower level bedroom also has a full bed.
The main level incorporates a large living/dining area along with an open kitchen. The view of the lake is spectacular from here.
The family/game room is on the lower level, along with a laundry room. Sliding glass doors lead to the hot tub, fire pit , outdoor dining area, and stairway to the beach.
There are two beautiful porches on the cabin. The back porch looks out over an ever-changing panorama of one of the great views of the great lakes.
Who goes to the McIntosh Lodge? Families, couples looking for a private getaway, a small group of friends. It's an out-of-the-way intimate and romantic nest to spend some quality time. Many guests come back annually to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. The common thread of all our guests is a desire for privacy, time apart from the maddening pace of life and looking for a splendid way to recharge batteries. The cabin is about 400 feet from the water, and the sound of the waves at night will lull you to sleep very quickly. The trail down to the beach is a wonderful 1-minute nature walk, the beach stretches as far as you can see in either direction.
The lake is perfect for sunning, reading a book in a beach chair, rock collecting and hopping into the crystal-clear waters whenever you want!
Best wishes from us both,
Dale and Kirsten
