Formerly known as First Street Retreat Upper, this inviting vacation rental is located just a short walk from the warm white sands of Mexico Beach, one mile from Gulf County Veterans Memorial Park at Beacon Hill, and within 10 miles of the Cape San Blas Lighthouse and George Core Park (Lighthouse Park), making it ideal for a family beach vacation or couples retreat.

Inside this second-floor retreat, you'll find a full kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare everyone's favorite recipes. Dine together in the breakfast nook, and then gather in the living area and stream your favorite channels into the evening.

Outside, enjoy a furnished deck with a partial Gulf view, an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt and sand, and access to a washer/dryer to help you keep your laundry under control during your stay.

2024 spring break

Only thing is need new trash cam outside with lid. We had trash to pick up from dogs getting in it. The full size bed is to nosy getting out of it.

Nice and relaxing

The property was very nice and comfortable, the only complaint I have is the internet would not pick up in the room with 2 beds so my 2 girls couldnt watch TV in that room, but other than that it was a perfect stay... I would recommend anyone to this listing and I would also book again.

Quick Getaway

We found this rental 1st street upper last minute online to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Location was fantastic! Upon arrival the outside seemed great! I do wish there was either a shorter entry code or a key for easier access. Walking in we instantly smelt cigarette smoke and strong gasoline/diesel fuel smells. This smell lasted the entirety of the stay. The mattresses were all sunk in the center creating a pit you couldn’t avoid. The beds had sand in the sheets upon arrival. The couch, beds and fridge had dog hair, sand, bugs and miscellaneous objects piled under them. It was so bad my son and I cleaned it up before relaxing. I understand that things may be overlooked everyone and then but this was piles and piles. Evidence of a habitual overlook over multiple previous stays. The “expert cleaning” advertised on the Vacasa website is a complete joke. :( I’m disappointed we paid our hard earned cash to have to end up cleaning our rental befoe relaxing.
