Cabin in the Heart of the Little Belt Mountains Monarch Montana Our cabin is in an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. The cabin is located just South of Monarch, Montana. It is conveniently located just far enough off the highway to feel secluded yet close enough to make access very easy. Speaking of access, our cabin is a quick 20-minute drive to Showdown ski area, minutes from Blue Ribbon Trout fishing, 4 wheeling, snowmachining and of course hunting are just a few of the outdoor adventure possibilities literally at our doorstep. Our cabin is perfect for a couple of families or a group of outdoor minded people. And of course, your furry friends are welcome. The cabin The cabin is 1500 square feet. For sleeping the cabin features a large master bedroom with a brand-new memory foam King mattress. The master bedroom has a walk-in classic that is just for guests as well as a dresser with empty drawers so you can feel comfortable with an extended stay. Just outside of the master bedroom is a large sleeping area featuring a queen bed and two twin beds. All the beds in the main sleeping area feature new premium mattresses. There is plenty of space to air up an additional air mattress and place it in the main sleeping area or in the oversized master bedroom. All the sleeping area is in the upstairs area of the cabin. Our kitchen is large and stocked with the basic amenities. Pots, pans, baking sheets, silverware, plates and drinking glasses and basic spices. The kitchen is equipped with an electric range, microwave oven, Keurig coffee maker, and of course a refrigerator with freezer. The dining area features a large dining table with room to seat 6 people. The living room features a brand-new couch and recliner, perfect for relaxing after a long day on the ski hill, or to rest your feet after a day of fishing or hunting. Or you can sit back and kick on a movie on our 65’’ tv. The cabin features Hi speed Wi-Fi, You Tube tv or feel free to log in and view your own streaming service. Cell service is minimal, but it is there. We recommend logging into the wi-fi to make your phone calls. A recently remodeled bathroom is also stocked up with plenty of bath towels and wash cloths, there’s nothing worse than not having enough towels for everyone visiting, but there’s nothing better than a hot shower after a day in the outdoors. The Property The property consists of 2 acres in a secluded mountain subdivision. This means the only traffic you will experience are the mule deer and turkeys that make a daily visit as they pass through the property. We have a fire pit that sits just outside the front door and overlooks the entire property. This is a perfect spot to BBQ or just take in the scenery. Speaking of scenery from the fire pit you can look across the valley at Belt Park the gateway into the Little Belt Mountains, or turn around, just behind our cabin are some of the best views in the area of beautiful rock formations that make this area so unique. The BBQ is in the shed just behind the cabin.

Very quiet location in the woods. Cabin was comfortable and pleasant, with everything necessary for a good getaway. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
We loved our stay here. Fun for our family to be at over the holidays playing games and skiing at showdown. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. We would definitely return here.

Thank you so much! Look forward to your next visit!
Easily one of the top 5 rentals we have stayed in. Excellent communication by hosts; video walk through sent prior to our stay; clear directions and overall a very welcoming cabin. The thought and care owners put into this rental is A++. Fully stocked with any supplies we needed!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway and will definitely be back again!

Showdown ski getaway
The property is close to Showdown ski area in Monarch, MT. We arrived late in the evening and the heat was turned off. It was 50F in the property. The owners plan to install a remote thermostat so they can pre-heat the place before renters arrive. The bedrooms are essentially connected and not ideal if two couples are staying at the property. Both bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is on the main floor. The bathroom is small and has a shower only. The kitchen is well-stocked. I suggested wine glasses would be a nice addition for the glassware. Everything was clean except the microwave- which I cleaned . It is nice that they provide some cabin snacks- if desired. The property does not have WiFi or cell service. I think the property is over-priced considering the amenities provided and the location. The owners were extremely pleasant and excellent with communication.

Julie,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, good honest feedback is how we address issues and improve our VRBO. We sent you our cabin guidebook, as well as the virtual video of the cabin, but we never did hear back any sort of confirmation that you received them. We also tried to communicate with you through VRBO with no responses. Good communications and quick responses are something we take very seriously. We did not get very much communication back from you. But out of respect for privacy, we did not push communications onto you. The guidebook contains WIFI information for the property. We have outstanding WIFI at the cabin. Our virtual video also goes into detail about the heating system and how to operate it. We keep the cabin at 58 degrees at all times to prevent wasting energy and propane. The cabin will reach comfortable temperatures within about 45 minutes if all the steps we recommend are performed. We also go into detail on turning heat register units up to assist with warming the sleeping areas. All of this is recommended to be performed immediately upon arrival and explained in the video and the guidebook. The cabin is now stocked up with wine glasses based on your recommendation. We will also be setting the base cabin temperature at 62 degrees to assist with a faster warm-up. And lastly to clarify the sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom is separated by a door. Guests do have to walk through a sleeping area to gain access to the master bedroom. As far as the bathroom only having a shower? It is a fully equipped bathroom with a sink and toilet as well. I am sorry you feel we are overpriced. We advertise our property as a Cabin Getaway. This means the cabin is a property that does require additional expenses, WIFI, Heating, higher cleaning expenses, plowing, etc. These are fees a VRBO on a public street does not have. We feel the cabin is very accessible, it is in a subdivision with year-round residences but with two acres separating you from other homes. We feel the location is ideal for accessibility but still have the feeling of some isolation. Again thank you for the feedback we will implement these changes immediately. I sincerely apologize for the microwave, this will be on the check list as well.
