My wife and I stayed here and loved the whole experience. The host was amazing and the property worked great for us! We would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to go somewhere and enjoy the outdoors!!
The kitchen was well stocked. We liked the rural, quiet setting with grocery stores and restaurants within an essay drive. We also liked the proximity of the sites that we were interested in.
Amazing property and killer location. Minutes to downtown Mendo and only a few more to Ft. Bragg. Stay home and explore the woods and meadows on the property or have at charming shops and beaches. Everything we needed was there and the host was very communicative and responsive. Can’t wait to visit again.
Sea Glass Cottage was cozy, clean, and well appointed. We cooked most of our meals and found every kind of utensil we needed stocked in the kitchen. It is well situated between Mendocino and Fort Bragg (closer to Mendocino) and the property is beautiful! I saw many birds and a variety of flora and fauna while hiking the acreage. We will definitely return!

This is a marvelous spot for those who enjoy stepping out of the door into a wild space. In this case, meadows and forest, small ponds, all quite close to Russian Gulch State Park and the town of Fort Bragg.
Seaglass cottage was the perfect spot for our ladies crochet-cation. We loved the cozy feel of the the cottage. It felt comfortable and relaxing with plenty of space inside and outside for us to relax chat and crochet. It was quiet and peaceful and we are already planning our next trip.

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
How anyone can sleep here is a mystery, the beds are absolutely atrocious. There was laundry in a basket in laundry room, who knows if it was clean or dirty, dishes in strainer, dirty pot we tried to use, burner on stove didn't work, wooden toilet seat has splinters. We had 4 night reservation, but only stayed 1, couldn't sleep. We checked out & I asked for 2 nights to be refunded......received no comment back from host on that and no credit on card. Would never recommend this place.

After accommodating an early check-in request, I asked if I or my property manager could stop by to help. You denied any further assistance. Before your arrival, and the end of your reservation, we checked all items, verified the before and after photos, and found the gas stove and all 4 burners to be in complete working order and everything ready for arrival. The laundry room has complete sets of clean backup sheets - one for each bed. We offered to remove them for you. The mattresses are inner springs, medium firm. The full size bed was purchased new 4 year ago. Based upon the condition of how you left the mattress and cottage I am guessing you preferred much softer or memory foam. It sounds like this was not the right fit for you or your group of 4. We do not offer refunds for not sleeping well. We have over 300 5 star reviews between our 3 cottages, including Seaglass, on this nature preserve property between this platform and others with over 6 years of hosting experience. We value accurate listings and would welcome any questions about the accommodations prior your or any stay to make sure it is the right fit for you.
Was in a perfect location, easy to find, easy to get in, clean well stocked so we could eat at the cottage. The property was beautiful, the trails could use some care.

Thank you for your review! Happy to hear the cottage met all your expectations and you enjoyed the kitchen during your stay. So glad you liked the beautiful & unique property and explored the area. We are always continuously working on the trails, as it is such a large place, and will continue to do so. Thank you!
The house worked out fine for me and my 2 20-something sons although there were pretty much no frills - not even coffee. All we needed was a place to sleep before and after celebrating Thanksgiving with family in Caspar and so the house worked just fine.

Glad the place fit your needs for you and your sons and you had a nice time visiting family for Thanksgiving. Thank for your feedback, we do mention in the listing under amenities we have a drip coffee maker and to bring your own favorite coffee, as I know everyone has their own preferences. We have a well stocked kitchen with many baking dishes, pots/pans, cutlery, etc. I am sorry if it wasn't clear we don't stock food items, as we strive to ensure the cottage listing is as accurate as possible. Thank you for being our valued guest and taking time to leave a review of your stay!
Great location in a natural setting close to Mendocino. Kitchen has everything a cook needs. The nature preserve is wonderful and literally a few steps from the cottage. We were able to heat the place with the small propane stove, but it might be unsafe for toddlers, right in the living area.

We loved this place! Our small kids enjoyed exploring the property. We saw many types of wild mushrooms. Comfortable, clean. We will stay here again. Also, great location.
The cottage was perfect for us!…We were traveling with long time friends who loved the property…He is a photo buff and really enjoyed a couple of hikes! It was a great competitive value for Mendocino!
