Overall the stay was pleasant. There was a hiccup with first arrivals and the code for the door not working but the hosts were more than quick to respond and help out. The hosts were great at communication with any and all questions I had. very lovely stay. :-)
The location was good. The house is located very near the World Ag Expo and in a well kept newer neighborhood. The layout of the house itself is very useable with access to most of the rooms including the garage. There were a couple of locked doors that I assume were some sort of storage areas. Cleanliness was not a major issue. The carpets are a little stained from normal use but overall I would say that we were happy with the presentation of the house. Now for the bad. When we got there the HVAC did not work. It was triple digit heat the duration of our stay. We did call the management company in charge of the property who had a handyman come out same day. The HVAC worked for the rest of that day but then quit in the middle of the night and never functioned again. Upon inspection the filter looked as though it had not been changed maybe ever. The barstools were dangerously wobbly and one was even falling apart. Hot water was difficult to achieve, especially in the front bathroom. The water coming from the dispenser in the refrigerator smelled like dirty feet and was undrinkable. We drank from bottles and the kitchen sink while we were there.
Very clean, good management they refunded me when the hot tub had an issue with no problems and are replacing it. Great air conditioner which we needed since 110 degrees! Recommend it!
Master closet door handle loose, dishes in kitchen dusty, mirror on master bathroom dusty, broken kitchen stool feet rest, needs upgrades for house audio.
The house worked out well for our reunion and overall we enjoyed our stay. While there we did not register any problems with the host but were disappointed with a few things regarding cleaning and maintenance.1 - our group were all over 78 years old and for a few of us the fact that there was no handicap accessories - bars, handhold in showers were concerning.2. Over all cleanliness was not good. The property had been surface cleaned only. Carpets had several stains, dusty, kitchen table not cleaned, windows dirty3 Refrigerator: The ice maker did not work, and the freezer drawer was missing making it difficult to use.4. Counter stools were not useable - they were very wobbly and the supports rails were loose and falling out.5. The one car garage portion was full of old and broken furniture.6. The washer dryer in the garage was mounted on top of a wooden stand and difficult to access and use.7. The grill was totally unusable - caked with grease and dirt8. The AC controls were difficult. We ultimately controlled the temp by turning the unit off and on - could not get the thermostat to work.9. Several electric outlets had the covers missing 10. lights were difficult to control - a lot of blinking in the adjustable lights and a few bulbs were not working.11. We could not get the blinds for the front window to close12. Toilet seats were loose - - couldn't get them to tighten effectively.13- couple of the dining chairs have loose supports making chairs unstable.
