There's a reason this house is called Sunset View and it's not hard to figure out. Mere steps from the beach across the street, and within walking distance to the newly refurbished BHI Club. The best features might be the two large living areas that run the entire length of the house, both upstairs and down - and the huge porches on each level. On the main level, is a master suite with a king bed and in-suite bathroom. A second bedroom with twins, and another with a pair of bunk beds, share a hallway bath. Right out the door is a spacious covered deck, including a picnic table overlooking the ocean. Upstairs, the whole length of the house is a game room with a combination pool table and ping pong table. Also, a TV for video games, large sofa and extra sleeping with a futon. A fourth bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, is tucked away with an adjoining bath. Another deck is upstairs for sunbathing and a bird's eye view of the entire beach.

Perfect family getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Great location, with beautiful views of the sunset from the decks and on the beach across the street! Plenty of room for the 6 of us. We especially enjoyed the pool and ping pong table at night. One drawback was that none of the ice-makers were working. Overall a great experience and we would definitely return.

Amazing sunsets from the balcony

This place was perfect for us. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 on the main floor and one upstairs. There are 3 full baths (no bathtub (my kids use shower so was not an issue for us)

House needs serious updating.

Carts really old, garage door broke, garbage cans full of construction debris, construction trash in back yard, kitchen faucet broken, deck boards splintered and rusty nails sticking up (no bare feet on decks) upstairs fridge doesn’t work, bikes rusty and flat tires, pool table cue sticks didn’t have tips ( we went to the hardware and got some). Great location. House needs work.

Great time

I thoroughly enjoyed the week at bald head island. However, I had much different experience at tje Ferry terminal which almost ruined my trip. My wife and I are 76 year old cancer survivors on a trip with our extender family. When I got to the ferry terminal, I asked an attendant for assistance finding my car, He promptly blew me off. I asked another attendant the same thing and received the same response. After an hour in wandering around the giant parking lot, I found my car by luck. The fee was $84.00 to exit the lot. The experienced dampened the entire trip. I will not be returning.
