About this property
The Creekside Hideaway - A Private, Cozy Getaway
The Creekside Hideaway was recently renovated with complete comfort and seclusion in mind.
The home was curated to help you have a relaxing escape. From the private hot tub deck to the screened-in porch with yoga mats and incense. Each corner invites you to slow down and enjoy yourself.
The two bedrooms on the main level and loft include a private bath with a comfortable King, memory foam mattress. The wrap-around deck doubles the square footage of the home. This cabin boasts areas to relax, unwind and enjoy everything the Smoky Mountains has to offer.
We hope you'll also love the indoor wood-burning stove, outdoor fire pit area, basement with full bar, karaoke machine/disco ball, as well as the record player and host of games in the main room.

Hello!
We are a young married couple who moved from Minneapolis, MN (our hometown) to Charleston, SC in 2020. We first spun up "The House of Coastal Blues" from our home, spending about 3 months fully renovating the suite. This place is perfect for couples and small families looking to explore all that Charleston has to offer.
Please ask us for recommendations of things to do around Charleston, we love the area and are on a mission to try as many restaurants as possible in our time there :).
In February 2022, we bought "The Creekside Hideaway". We moved from Charleston to the Smoky Mountains and spent 10 months renovating this home ourselves. We wanted to create a space that invited travelers to relax and unwind while experiencing all that Western NC has to offer. This was a big project, but we are so happy with how it turned out and we hope you enjoy it as much as we love it!
We pride ourselves on our communication and on providing an excellent experience for all of our guests.
Thank you for staying with us! :)

Why they chose this property
We first fell in love with the privacy of the lot. Two sides of the home are surrounded by hills and a creek that runs along the backside of the home. When enjoying the Hot Tub deck, you can hear the water running and enjoy complete privacy.
The home itself has a unique history as well being built in 1984. The owner cleared this lot and actually milled the wood right down the road (you pass the wood mill on the left as you get closer to the cabin from the highway). The home itself has some magnificent custom wood that was used including the beautiful cherry wood walls in the main room. We loved the fact that the wood beams in the main room came from trees right on site here.
In addition to that, downtown Sylva is incredibly charming and has surprisingly good food and drink. You'll have a blast exploring the 5 brewery locations between Sylva & Dillsboro, multiple farm-to-table restaurants and fun cocktail lounges. Some of our favorites include, Ilda & The Wine Cellar, The Cut Cocktail Lounge, Guadalupe Cafe & Haywood Smokehouse over in Dillsboro.

What makes this property unique
We curated the spaces in this home with relaxation in mind. We personally love morning hot tubs with a cup of coffee, a roaring fire in the wood-burning stove on a cold day, enjoying a latte and watching the bird feeders from the picture window above the custom bar area next to the kitchen, yoga on the screened-in porch while listening to the creek and getting the karaoke machine/disco ball rolling on the weekends in the basement bar area.
