About this property

Stylish Bungalow in Tampa’s Historic Ybor

Have fun with the whole family or enjoy an adults weekend away at our beautifully curated bungalow. Centrally located in Ybor's Historic Landmark District, 7 minutes to downtown and less than 5 to the highways. Driveway parking. Spacious and thoughtfully equipped for all of your holiday needs. The large front porch is great for morning coffee and the back deck offers a large shade umbrella plus a grilling patio. Attention to detail makes your stay top-notch. Great for families, friends, & business trips.

Behind Casa Grande is La Casita our private guesthouse. My brother Kyle, and his pup Meera live there. They have a separate entrance from Casa Grande and park on the street but you will share the laundry room.

A little on our neighborhood. VM Ybor is a historically and culturally rich neighborhood. Conveinently located just outside of the city proper and 10 blocks from Centro. VM is up and coming. Casa Grande is in a safe area and our neighbors have been a part of the community for decades. Please do your diligence on Ybor's history and the VM neighborhood when booking your stay.

Casa Grande is Awesome

Great stay in YBor!

Simply put, this is one of the best rental properties I have stayed in! It was very nicely updated, roomy, clean, and had everything you could need and more! The kitchen was well stocked down to the spices. Plenty of games, cards, books, extra towels…even sunscreen. Uber to downtown Tampa was easy and reasonable. A few other reviews talked about the condition of the area. It is an old, historic neighborhood in a city. You will find narrow streets and some run down homes sitting next to million dollar properties. Nothing about Casa Grande felt unsafe for four women traveling together.The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with! If I could give this 10 stars, I would!

This house has everything!

I recently stayed at an exceptional bungalow that truly exceeded all my expectations. This house had everything you could possibly dream of; from birthday candles to soft, plush towels, no detail was overlooked. The cleanliness and organization of the space made it feel inviting and comfortable, which is often hard to find. The neighbors were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I have stayed in some lavish properties before, but this place felt like home. It was thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials, yet it never felt cluttered. I can't recommend this property enough! I will definitely be returning for another .

The host seemed to have thought of everything we would need. The kitchen was well-stocked with an intuitive layout, the sitting areas were comfortable with blankets and footrests available for lounging, everything was clean and communication was excellent. We also liked that other guests had left recommendations for dining and entertainment.

Great Experience..!

This was overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this location.. it was close to everything you needed.. restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, beaches, water… and my favourite cigar / whiskey bars. 8 minutes from Ybor’s main strip which is a must experience. Thanks again.!

Beautiful quaint home!!

After reading the reviews i was a little worried about the highway noise, but it wasnt an issue at all. The house is beautiful and im sure for a longer stay would've been fantastic. We were there just for 2 nights but loved it. So spacious and beautifully decorated. La Segunda bakery was so close that we walked to go get breakfast and it was a true latin bakery. LOVED IT!. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Mel was great and answered right away when we had any questions. Awesome stay. Loved the chickens and roosters around the neighborhood. Made me feel at home 😊

Everything but fabulous!

4 adult men arrive at the house to find a man living in the garage 6 ft away from the house. All four beds had hair in them! Not one hair, lots of hairs, not one bed all four beds in three different rooms! You wouldn’t find this acceptable anywhere or with anyone. The neighborhood most homes have bars on the windows. Not a safe area? After listening to some locals I would guess not! We moved out immediately! The Host said the guy living in garage her brother. The hairs in bed we would find in hotel rooms. I spend 3-4 nights a week in hotels 3 months a year working and never found hairs in the bed! Fabulous is not how we would described this property! For four adult men not being comfortable staying in this house, moved out and went and stayed in hotel rooms is saying a lot! If you want clean house without hairs in your bed, host found this to be acceptable, we didn’t! A neighborhood you could feel comfortable, safe walking around. Look for another property! Nothing Fabulous at this property.

Super cute home located close to historic Ybor with easy options to get to downtown Tampa. Perfect for activities during the day and then cooking or chilling at home in the evening. Mel, the host, is super helpful and a great communicator!

Would stay again

The home was exactly as pictured. We only stayed 2 nights, but the neighbors to the left were super friendly, the owner was responsive and we were not far from Busch Gardens or Clearwater. The only thing is that the owner’s brother lives in the back in a separate property and that wasn’t disclosed until after we booked, but it wasn’t an issue. We just used the front porch, which was big and comfy. My family loved it here.

Great for ladies weekend

3 generations of our family stayed here for a ladies weekend. We had coffee on the patio in the morning, shopped in the area and rode the streetcar from Ybor City to the Tampa convention center and back. Mel was so welcoming and the house was spotless and relaxing. Decor was stylish and fun and we loved the meme game. Lots of board games and supplies for a comfortable home away from home stay!

Perfect VRBO

Our host thought of everything! The VRBO has a name: Casa Grande and a story which our host shares. I was excited about staying here even before we walked-in. However when walking up the porch stairs and through the front door of this lovely home, I was even more excited. The attention to detail was beyond impressive. Its interior appearance looked directly out of an interior magazine. WE had an absolutely lovely time hanging out, playing games and even sleeping in the beautiful rooms. Mel was attentive and available to help with my extra requests and needs. Five Stars all the way around!
