The house is a charming place that has its historic charm still intact. The kitchen is incredible! Everything was clean as a whistle, and the bed was very comfy.
The owners try to be environmentally responsible, and they make it easy for guests to do so as well with helpful instruction in strategic locations.
We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again.
Super cute and clean. It was the perfect size for two people. The host had lots of good recommendations for the area (we loved the Ish creamery!) and we appreciated that there were options for composting and recycling. We would stay here again :)
Enjoyed the large space, the cleanliness, and the decor. Loved that the craftsmanship of the original build was still visible with the updates complimenting them. Would book again if the opportunity arose.
Small, but big at the same time if that makes sense. Tall ceilings and big rooms, however, there is not many places to sit comfortably.
It worked for us, we came with a dog and a 3yo, and we’re really only there to sleep between doing stuff out and about.
We enjoyed our stay in this large one-bedroom unit. Owners live upstairs, so were available but there was no need to contact them. Ishpeming was a fun small town to explore with many nearby attractions.
Enjoyed our stay.. We liked the building as it was an older property and well maintained. A couple of the steps were either a big step up or down, depending on which way you were going. This was tougher for older people to handle. The only complaint we had was that the furniture was very uncomfortable. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay( location was quite good, close to a wide variety of restaurants) and would consider using this location again.

My partner and I had the best stay here with our dogs. So cute and clean! A very homey feel with a fun decor theme :) so reasonably priced for what you get. The host was wonderful with communication and let us know of some local events we ended up going to. Will be sure to stay here again next time I’m in the area!
The listing is exactly as described. Everything you could need was available and the host was super helpful in finding an attraction we had heard about. We highly recommend this place

Great central location for visiting UP attractions. Apartment had everything we needed, and funky decor lived up to its name. Plenty of extras for pups, and close to Iron Ore Heritage Trail for easy walks. Could use some additional lighting for senior eyes like ours, but we managed and would definitely return for another visit.
House was as described. Bed comfy. We did take out our blanket and pillows and glad we did. House was older but clean. We only slept and showered. Didn’t use anything in kitchen or cook. Neighborhood was a mix of nicer houses and some kinda dumpy but the price was right for a dog friendly place. Walked to get ice cream one evening.
What a charmingly clean and comfortable setting. We loved our stay for family events. It was minutes from our plans and very convenient. This host really knows how to add all of the welcoming special touches. Our little dog and mom enjoyed it as well. Thank you! Can’t wait to visit again...
This home was spacious with a large kitchen, comfy rooms, and artistic atmosphere. The host leaves out a guest book for travelers to sign. The space is cozy and feels like home. Gnomes greet visitors when they arrive which is perfect for Ishpeming, a mining town.
This was a great place to stay while visiting Ishpeming and Marquette over new year weekend 2023. On a whim we chased the snow north, as it had melted downstate. The host, Krystan, was a great help in accommodating our last minute reservation. She was also readily available and helpful when the gnomes tried to lock us out. The flat was clean and comfortable. It was a great trip.
Communication and check-in with the property manager was excellent. Ishpeming side streets are a bit on the bumpy side, but we made it no worse for the wear. Once we got there, everything was exactly as described in the check-in instructions and there was a folder with detailed notes and instructions. We especially enjoyed how dog friendly the property was. There were even food and water bowls and toys! We found the flat to be very comfortable and cutely decorated. The bistro table outside on the porch was perfect for playing a game of cribbage and drinking some Kognisjon beer! We had a wonderful stay!

Cute place, but has cons
Stayed with my husband, son, and our dog.
Pros:
Clean and cute inside
Price
Close to Marquette
A/C recently installed
Owner responded promptly
Check in and out was easy
Cons:
Lawn was overgrown and outside wasn’t inviting
No comfortable furniture for adults. If you’re over 25 you’re going to have a sore back.
Says it sleeps 4 but you can easily feel the metal bars in the futon as the mattress is very thin. The fourth “bed” is a beanbag like chair and it opens up to a lumpy “mattress” which reminded us of a large dog bed. If you stay with more than 2 people, bring your own air mattresses.
Bathroom area is a good size, however the toilet area is incredibly small. My husband’s shoulders couldn’t even fit in there due to the way the way it’s built. Our 8 year old fit fine. If you’re much bigger than that, it’s going to a tight squeeze.
