Forest Sanctuary with access to Lake Michigan. This beautiful & cozy A-frame on Glidden Drive is a perfect retreat/vacation spot in Door County. A five minute walk to Donny's Glidden supper club and sandy beach access. Large indoor fireplace. Three bedrooms and a loft for dedicated work space. The property backs onto 1000 acre nature preserve with miles of trails to explore. We designed the space with all natural materials, and high-end amenities.

Birthday Trip

My husband and a few of our friends stayed here for our birthday trip. The host was great at communicating and very nice. Property was great and good location - loved that it was next to a small walking trail and in the woods. Would recommend!

Great trip, convenient location

Just as advertised. Quiet location close to lots of restaurants. Great hiking just out the back door. Owners were great to communicate with and helpful!

Girls Trip

The only disappointment was that the television did not work......We would only have watched it in the evenings but were disappointed it would not connect We followed all instructions but could not sign in.

Paradise

This was a very nice home in the woods. The location was great with lots of things to do near by and close to everything. It was very beautiful and peaceful. Couldn't have been more perfect!

Beautiful cabin, great location

We absolutely loved this cabin. It was beautiful and comfortable and the kitchen was totally stocked with everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The location is ideal for exploring Whitefish Dunes or Cave Point, and is still only 30 minutes from Peninsula State Park. We’d love to stay in your cabin again!

Peaceful retreat in Door County

This home was ideal for our family of 6. The house was stocked with all necessities. There were lawn chairs around the fire pit, deck furniture (where we ate and played card games), and space for us to set up Kubb. Inside the furniture was arranged comfortably. The decor gave a warm, welcoming ambience. The fridge is adorable but isn’t a full size fridge. It worked for us, but next time I wouldn’t buy as much to start with. It was convenient to have a door attached to the kitchen. It is located in private setting which was great to come back to after busy days of activities throughout Door County. We would absolutely stay here again. Jan was kind & quick to respond with my questions prior to the trip. I appreciated this. Thank you for the great accommodations and opening your home up to us.

Night sky viewing

As other reviewers have said, this place is great! I would like to add that we went out of our way to go to Newport State Park to view the stars, but after getting back to the property, realized that the night sky viewing here was nearly as good, and the long trip to the park wasn't really worth the trouble. So if you are interested in star gazing without all the hassle, this is the place!

Woodsy getaway

Jean has a great place, a quiet, simple but beautiful place in the woods in a very non touristy part of Door County. Everything was as listed and her communication was excellent! We appreciated the amenities provided, like coffee and multiple ways of preparing it, great soaps and soft towels. One thing is that the only way it would be a one minute walk to the water is if we cut through their neighbor's property, which we obviously wouldn't do. It's a bit farther down the road to go to the water by the dinner club, and a few miles down the road to get to a beach. Great, quiet access there, though. Would stay again, as the kids are already asking to return!

Quiet retreat

Weekend in Door County

The property was as photographed. There were some updates in the bathroom! The back bed was super comfy. Front bed had a dip in the middle. Very relaxing. Shower pressure was a little low. Overall we would stay again!!
