There`s something very special about drinking coffee, soaking up the morning sun, listening to birds, and getting out the maps to plan your day`s fun! You can do this every morning on our back deck. The only thing better is coming home and enjoying drinks on the deck reminiscing about the fun you had. There`s a unique energetic fun vortex that surrounds our home. There is a private efficiency apartment located in the basement. It has its own parking, entrance and outdoor area. This is available for rent if your number of guests exceeds 8 or you would like a little more space. It has its own kitchen, bathroom, 1 queen bed, and 1 pull out twin sofa sleeper. I will not be available in person but you can call or text me with any questions and I`ll be readily available to help. Our neighbor/co-host, Barbara, is available in person to assist as well.
Our neighborhood is very quiet, quaint and convenient to trails, shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores, bike shop, etc...all within a few minutes walk or drive. And, you DON`T have to go through the traffic and bottlenecks of the roundabouts or Uptown!
We`re only 1 block from the `Teacup/Sugar Loaf` trailhead. An easy hike from our house to one of the BEST sunset spots in all of Sedona. People come from all over to watch the sunset, do yoga and connect with the energies of the vortex on top of our little `front yard` mountain. Sugar Loaf is one of the local energy vortexes. There are several trails that are accessed from this trailhead...Thunder Mountain, Chimney Rock, Adante, Teacup, Sugar Loaf
Groome Shuttle service is available to drop you off at the front door from Phoenix Airport. Or drop you at one of their designated pick up/drop off locations in town if you don`t have a car.
This is a legal, permitted Short Term Rental within the City of Sedona.

Pets are limited to 2 dogs. There is a $195 pet fee. Cats are not allowed. Dogs can not be left alone in the house or yard. Poop must be picked up! Bags are provided to help make this easy for you! If I have to pay my landscaper to pick up the poop after you check out, I will charge you through the Resolution Center for this cost. Thanks in advance for being cool about the poop!
Limit to 3 cars, and must park in the upper driveway.
Our neighborhood is peaceful at night...No loud noise or parties, please!. City enforced Quiet hours, 9:00 PM - 8:00 AM
The Wifi is the fastest I can get in Sedona...Please be patient and remember where you are...It`s not the same as what you get in a big city!
Children must be supervised at all times inside and outside in the backyard, front yard and street. We don`t want anyone to get hurt!
I`m sorry to say but I will have to contact you if I get complaints from neighbors regarding barking dogs, overly loud children, as well as for loud music after quiet hours. Thank you for respecting our neighbors who live here year around. Please help AirBnB rentals have good reputations.
I suggest that you purchase travel insurance to cover yourself in case unforeseen changes arise. This is available through AirBnB and other companies.
There is a private studio apartment below the house. It has it`s own entrance, outside areas and parking in the lower driveway. Please do not access this area unless you have rented the apartment in addition to the main house.

About the host
Hosted by Sarah McAllister Faust
Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile page. I'd like to give you a little background info about myself and my family. My husband, Jimmy Faust, and I have lived in Crested Butte a combined 70 years! We've both been in CB on average 35 years...we're almost locals, haha!
I grew up in Winchester, VA and then went to school at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where I received a BS in Hospitality Management and an MBA in Business Administration. I went on to work in NYC in the hotel industry but needed to make my way back to the mountains. I've made Crested Butte my home where I birthed and raised my children. My husband is from Pierz, MN, a small farming town in central MN. He attending St Cloud State for 1 year and then transferred to Western State College in Gunnison, CO, where he earned his BS in Marketing. He managed "The Bakery Cafe" for 12 years while concurrently starting his construction business. He continues to be a highly acclaimed builder in CB. He is also know for his tenure of winning titles of the infamous "Elk Mountain Grand Traverse".
We both have "grown up" in Crested Butte...we've witnessed and experienced all the changes to the area. We absolutely love living in the Gunnison Valley...every aspect of it...We enjoy the beauty, the community, and the challenges. We both are avid skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers. We're happy to share our extensive knowledge of the area and trails with you.
Because of our love of mountain biking, we own homes in Sedona, AZ and Moab, UT...also mountain biking and hiking meccas like Crested Butte. We currently short term rent our place in Sedona when we can't be there. Our goal is to retire and rotate between the 3 spots, as the seasons change, following the best mountain biking conditions.
We look forward to hosting you! Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Why they chose this property
Hands down, this is the best spot in Sedona! Ideally located in one of the best neighborhoods in West Sedona. The Teacup/Sugar Loaf trailhead is just a quick 1 block walk away. From there you can access some of the best trails in the area. The infamous "Sugar Loaf" is a sought after location for sunsets and breathtaking panoramic views.
The house is perfect for small groups, 1 - 8 people. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathroom. The spacious, yet cozy living area is inviting the minute you walk in. The uniqueness of the house and decor make it a memorable stay. The house is one of the original houses in this older neighborhood. It is a vintage "cabin" with lots of character. The warmth and comfort of it make it feel like home from the first minutes. The views of Thunder Mountain and the red rocks are outstanding.
The backyard is a true gem. It is beautifully landscaped with mature trees, scrubs and roses. The 6' fence gives it privacy. The deck is loaded with outdoor furniture and a propane grill. It gives outdoor living a whole new level.
