We loved the lake house! Very clean, quiet, with everything you needed to enjoy a wonderful vacation.Fishing from the dock was lots of fun. Caught all kinds of fish. Hosts were prompt in answering questions and went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Would recommend the lake front home highly and hope to visit again.

relaxing place to enjoy time with family

Great place right on the water with dock and area with gradual entrance for the kids. Paddle board and kayaks were fun to explore the lake. plenty of tubes, floats as well as life jackets.

Paradise right around the corner

We live about 20 minutes away but may as well have been in New Hampshire or Maine while staying at this relaxing oasis. The property owners maintain a clean and up to date home. The kitchen is stocked with every cup, dish, pot, pan and gizmo you'll need and the grill is large enough to prepare dinner for a family. There is an open first floor plan that makes it easy to settle right in. Both second floor bedrooms and the full bath (complete with washer and dryer) are clean and comfortable, with the master BR offering a view of the lake. We were concerned that there would be a lot of boat traffic, being near the public boat launch. However, we did not find boating activity to be bothersome at all and, in fact, the No Wake Zone ensures the water skiers, wake boarders and jet skis stay in the main part of the lake. When not in the water, most of our time was spent on the deck, which spans the fill width of the house. There is a welcome book with a few simple rules, instructions for appliances and suggestions for local activities and restaurants. So, you will not waste precious vacation time trying to figure those things out. We recommend this property to adult couples, groups of friends or families with children and are sure you will make many happy memories just as we did. Thank you again Paul and Beth for opening up your home to us!

Why they chose this property

Not only is this home on premier lake-front property, but it has the best spot on the lake for breathtaking sunsets. Overseen by Manchaug Pond Foundation, beautiful Manchaug Pond is a well maintained lake with an in/out flow keeping the water fresh and clean for swimming and boating.
The house is very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a family vacation.

What makes this property unique

● All will enjoy a six minute trip down the road to Breezy Gardens on a nearby lake where the kids will have a blast on the outdoor waterslides. You can pack a lunch or grab something to eat at the snack bar, including an ice coffee!
● For an adventure, head to the famous Purgatory Chasm for a unique rocky landscape and hiking less than 10 minute drive.
● Douglas State Park also offers many hiking trails, a picnic area, beach and swimming, less than 10 minutes away.
● Or if you are sports fans, get some tickets for nearby Polar Park and the Worcester Red Sox, 22 minutes away.
● Other nearby amenities: Market Basket, Walmart, Whittier Farms and its country store, and Sutton West end creamery and mini golf all within 10 minutes.
