Things to Consider Before You Book

*The Lake House is located in rural Haldimand County where the majority of grocery stores, restaurants, healthcare services, and tourist attractions are located 20-30 minutes away.

*Lake Erie is a very large open lake that can bring strong gusts of winds and waves, which can make being in the water dangerous. You and your guests are responsible for your safety in the water.

*The water levels and beach size varies in size quite abit throughout the year. Lake Erie is also known for having algae that can impact swimming ability and can bring an odour. Unfortunately we are unable to control mother nature and guarantee the water level, beach size, algae and water quality.

*The reality is that cottage living often comes with unwanted pests. Mosquitoes and black flies are rare on Lake Erie however other pests such as gnats and spiders do come to visit during the summer months. We try our best to minimize them however we do need our guests to follow some simple prevention practices during their stay.

*We are not connected to any city water or septic services. Therefore we have to get water trucked in and stored in our cistern and sewage pumped out of our septic tank. This means water is limited. We require our guests to conserve water during their stay.

*Rates are based on 4 person occupancy. There will be a fee added at time of booking for extra guests. Only registered guests are allowed on the property.

*One well trained friendly dog is permitted at our Lake House. Our cleaning team charges a fee that will be applied at time of reservation. We request dogs stay off bed and furniture and stay on leash when outside.

*We currently do not have a fence between us and one of our neighbors. Please be respectful and not trespass on their property or breakwall. That includes parking, pets, children etc.

*The water is accessible by a ramp. It might not be suitable for pets and people with mobility issues due to its incline. Wearing sandles/water shoes is recommended and children should always be supervised when accessing the water and using the ramp. Use at your own risk.

*We do require a $500 damage deposit that will be held on your credit card starting the day your check-in and released 2 days after you check-out.

Payments will be identified on your credit card statement as `Door25`.

*Please have a read through our house rules before booking.
Our regular check-in time is 4:00pm and Check-out is 11:00am. These times are strictly enforced out of respect for our cleaning team. A $100 fee will be charged for any unapproved early check-in and/or late check-out.

*Very important* Water is not unlimited at our cottage. We ask that you please be considerate of the amount of water you are using during your stay.

We’re Nat and Nick — partners in life and in creating welcoming spaces for people to escape, celebrate, and slow down. We’re both Ontario locals who love exploring hidden corners of our province, discovering great food and small businesses, and spending time by the water with our dog in tow.

Hosting came naturally to us; we’ve always loved gathering people and designing spaces that feel cared for and easy to enjoy. Each of our homes is a reflection of that — thoughtful details, cozy corners, and little touches we hope make you feel instantly comfortable and at home.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this quiet stretch of Lake Erie the first time we saw it. The neighborhood feels like a true escape — peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully simple. Life slows down here; mornings start with the sound of waves and wide-open lake views, and evenings end with incredible sunsets right off the deck.

What we love most is how tucked away it feels while still being easy to reach. You can spend your whole visit relaxing by the water, stargazing in the hot tub, or gathered around the fire pit — there isn’t a long list of tourist stops, and that’s the charm. It’s a place to step out of the busy world, enjoy the quiet, and just be.

What makes this property unique

The LakeHouse isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a true lakeside escape designed for slowing down and reconnecting. You’ll find stunning, unobstructed Lake Erie views from sunrise to sunset, a hot tub under the stars, and spaces created for gathering — whether that’s morning coffee on the deck, dinner around the table, or fireside conversations late into the night.

Inside, it’s fully equipped and thoughtfully styled, so you can settle in with ease — everything from cozy furniture and curated décor to books, games, and a great kitchen is here. It’s also pet-friendly and welcoming to all, so you and your loved ones (including four-legged ones) can truly relax.

What sets it apart is how effortless it feels — just arrive, breathe, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the lake.
