Seasonal Lake Conditions
Lake Erie is a natural body of water and conditions can change throughout the summer. For a few weeks each year, algae blooms may occur, which can temporarily affect swimming and, at times, create an unpleasant outdoor smell.
The shoreline and lakebed are a natural mix of sand and rock, and conditions can change with weather and water levels. We strongly recommend wearing water shoes when entering the lake.
This is a lake-wide, seasonal occurrence beyond our control, and we share this so you can plan your stay with clear expectations.
A Few Helpful Notes
- The home uses a cistern and septic system — please use water mindfully.
- As with any lakefront stay, insects may be present indoors and outdoors.
- Please follow the simple hot tub care guidelines provided.
Pets
We welcome one well-behaved dog. Please clean up after pets, keep them off furniture and on our property.
Safety
Water, shoreline access, and use of SUP boards and the kayak are enjoyed at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times outdoors.
Several life jackets and water shoes are provided, however guests may prefer to bring their own to ensure proper fit and comfort.
The property sits approximately 15 feet above the shoreline, and some areas are steep. Access to the water is via a ramp, which can be steep for some and slippery when wet. We recommend moving carefully and wearing water shoes when entering the lake.
The property is not fenced on the road side, children and pets should be supervised at all times.
An exterior security device monitors the driveway only.
Security Deposit
A $500 security deposit (credit card hold) is required prior to arrival. This is a standard hold and is released after check-out, provided there is no damage or violation of house guidelines
Check-in is after 4:00pm and check-out is by 11:00am. These times are strictly enforced out of respect for our cleaning team. A $100 fee applies to any unapproved early check-in or late check-out.
Water is limited at the cottage as we are on a cistern, so please be mindful of how much you use during your stay.
Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am.
Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Pets require prior approval before booking.
Smoking and vaping are allowed outdoors only, on the driveway and at least 10 feet from all decks and buildings. All indoor spaces are strictly non-smoking.
Please follow the garbage, septic, and water guidelines outlined in the cottage binder.
Do not trespass on neighbours property. This includes kids, pets, vehicles, toys etc.
We value open communication—if anything comes up during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so we can help.

About the host
Your host
We’re Nat and Nick — partners in life and in creating welcoming spaces for people to escape, celebrate, and slow down. We’re both Ontario locals who love exploring hidden corners of our province, discovering great food and small businesses, and spending time by the water with our dog in tow.
Hosting came naturally to us; we’ve always loved gathering people and designing spaces that feel cared for and easy to enjoy. Each of our homes is a reflection of that — thoughtful details, cozy corners, and little touches we hope make you feel instantly comfortable and at home.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this quiet stretch of Lake Erie the first time we saw it. The neighborhood feels like a true escape — peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully simple. Life slows down here; mornings start with the sound of waves and wide-open lake views, and evenings end with incredible sunsets right off the deck.
What we love most is how tucked away it feels while still being easy to reach. You can spend your whole visit relaxing by the water, stargazing in the hot tub, or gathered around the fire pit — there isn’t a long list of tourist stops, and that’s the charm. It’s a place to step out of the busy world, enjoy the quiet, and just be.

What makes this property unique
The LakeHouse isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a true lakeside escape designed for slowing down and reconnecting. You’ll find stunning, unobstructed Lake Erie views from sunrise to sunset, a hot tub under the stars, and spaces created for gathering — whether that’s morning coffee on the deck, dinner around the table, or fireside conversations late into the night.
Inside, it’s fully equipped and thoughtfully styled, so you can settle in with ease — everything from cozy furniture and curated décor to books, games, and a great kitchen is here. It’s also pet-friendly and welcoming to all, so you and your loved ones (including four-legged ones) can truly relax.
What sets it apart is how effortless it feels — just arrive, breathe, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the lake.
