Fantastic Gulf View Villa with Resort Amenity Access! B3312A

In response to Covid 19, we are leaving 24 hours between reservations, cleaning with approved antibacterial products and doing an additional sanitizing inspection. Stay at Palm Island Resort, located on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast, is the state’s only true-out island resort. No bridges or causeways to the island exsist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills at each pool area. 11 hard tennis courts available for play and always complimentary. Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas. Our full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters. Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

The PERFECT arrangement for those who wanted to beach and those who preferred the back porch. The beach was beautiful and the available chairs were an added bonus! We did all the offered events - cocktails & 1/2 price appetizers, s’mores and even kayaked - I cant begin to describe how unexpected this all was!! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so incredible!! As soon a we know schedules, we’re booking a return trip!!

Couch cushions were very worn you sank in them causing back pain trying to sit on the couch. Wished the unit would have had Wi-Fi.

I slept on the sofa... a bit pricey to share a sofa. Invest in better beds or warn adults that twins are rocks.

Our Fifteenth year at Palm Island

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to this beautiful island now for 15 years. We always have had a first class experience and accommodations to match. This trip, we elected to stay in a superior rated unit but ended up with something far less. I don't know who rated this unit a superior but I think a second opinion is needed. We paid an additional 50 dollars a night for something I would consider sub par to even the standard units. The living room furniture was old, saggy and one of the recliners seemed like it was in need of repair. The hot and cold water was backwards at the kitchen sink. I can't believe this hasn't been brought to someones attention before now. The formica kitchen counter tops are sloppily patched in several locations. The bottom of the kitchen cabinet doors were all ragged and gross. The toilet roll holder about fell off the wall. The doorstops are about falling off the wall. The wallpaper is about falling off the wall! There is a leak under the kitchen sink that has obviously been going on way before we got there. We called the office about it and they said someone would be up to repair it right away. No one showed up the entire time we were there. No lights would turn on when you entered the bedroom. My wife fixed it by plugging the lamps into the switched outlets. Something so simple should already have been done before guests arrive. The creaking on the ceiling as the upstairs tenants walked around was unnerving. I can keep adding to the list but would hope this would be enough to warn anyone about this unit. On a positive note, the beach and golf carting was great!

Recently, I planned a very special mother-daughter trip and we had a wonderful time but the condo was very disappointing. The rental agent told me this unit had gone through a complete renovation recently and had a "superior" rating. Having high expecations, I was surprised when the laundry door fell off the tracks the first time we opened it, one of the kitchen cabinet doors was falling off the hinges, and the master bath toilet would only flush when we lifted the lid and manually flushed it. We called two days in a row to request that the toilet be fixed but maintenance was a "no show". I have stayed in lovely condos at PI Resort but this one was not ... I would rate it "inferior". We didn't let it spoil our overall PI Resort experience ... the condo was the only disappointing part of this special trip.

Could hear the people above us walking and talking, which seemed to begin at 7 am.

Reviewer Comments: It was my understanding that we were booked into a renovated top level Villa. We traveled from NM to spend time with my girlfriend's parents. I must say that we much enjoyed our time at Palm Island, but regrettably it was "in spite of" the accommodations we were provided. Our unit had a dirty sandy wooden floor, was shabbily equipped kitchen wise, was not an upper end renovation, had little water pressure in the kitchen and hence the dishwasher did not work and dishes were cleaned by hand, and in general it was not worth the price paid.

Another great vacation at Palm Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view on second floor. This was very convenient to be able to walk down the back stairs to the pool, beach and other relative's condos. However on the last 2 days we stayed there a large family was above us and you can hear their footsteps above you. We sleep with a sound machine and even that could not drown the noise. I believe all the units are like that so a third floor unit may be the way to go to ensure that doesn't happen again. The unit was nicely decorated and clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bed was comfy and they changed out the patio table. Wifi had a good connection as well. Overall I would stay in this unit again. As always we had a great time at the beach and on the island.
