Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters. Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

There is some water damage, but that is to be expected. The property is beautiful. The condo was great! I didn't care for the speeding golf carts. You might as well have cars the way some of those people drive (kids and drunk people included). I really loved the location and beach. I felt that some of the other people were unfriendly to those renting, rather than owning. They literally were discussing how they hate people renting units out at the pool. But I would stay again because of the natural beauty and location. The condo itself is not responsible for the others being rude. We weren't there to make friends so all in all, I liked it. The views are amazing.

Did not realize the property was still highly affected by the storms last year. there were no stairs down the back of the unit and the pool was off limits since there was no fence and lots of construction. Just wish I had known before I reserved. Expected one thing, got another. Management did provide slight discount which was nice. We will visit again; we have been coming for years. Hope that everyone here recovers, had no idea you took such a hit.

It’s been our special place—one that holds countless cherished memories. As Florida residents, we fully understand and empathize with the challenges the region has faced, especially with the devastating hurricanes of recent years, including the impact of 2024.That said, our most recent visit left us feeling disheartened. We were disappointed by the ongoing construction and the lack of accommodations or communication to make guests aware of what to expect. Part of what has always made Palm Island special is the sense of peace and escape it offers—and when that’s disrupted without acknowledgment, it feels as though the experience we’ve come to love is no longer being prioritized.We understand that recovery and improvements take time, and we respect that. Social Distancing Heaven

Property was very clean. The beach is wide and you can see the gulf from the balcony. The car ferry to get to the island keeps those coming to the beach to owners and renters like us. Took a panoramic photo at 9:00 AM and not a soul to be seen. If you want a place to escape to without a crowd, this is it. Got a little confused on the Bay Rum Restaurant location. Google maps put it off the island but it's right at Palm Island Resort so we didn't have to leave the island to get to it. Good food. We simply relaxed. Rent a golf cart for a day, just to explore the island. Will definitely return.

This villa was nicely furnished and well equipped with all that you need in the kitchen. There are a few things that need to be updated but you can expect that with any rental property. We saw the best sunset views right from the back porch! Great location too.

One of the worst mini vacations

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had heard good things about the resort but was very disappointed. Not only did the other guest staying with us find a huge cockroach in his bathroom and a spider but I found a spider on my pillow when I tried to go to bed. Also the lights went out in our building Friday,our first night there. I was unable to enjoy my night or do anything. I tried to go to bed since I was in the dark anyways and sweated horribly throughout the night until the lights finally came back on (in the middle of the night). It was a very uncomfortable sleep. I came to the island for a wedding which went well and was very beautiful. I do wish that I had just come over for the wedding itself and not stayed any nights here. I am aware that the lights going out was not the resorts fault but they didn’t do much to make sure the guests were okay or to even refund them for the night. Most places have back up generators or something to help in case of emergencies. This is supposed to be a resort for guests to stay at and should have accommodations for such. I could have stayed home for free in the dark just the same. Again I know that it was not the resorts fault the power went out but I wasn’t satisfied with the response to the power going out. I was very hopeful about my stay when I first arrived. I was told that I could get a discount if I came again but I don’t know if I would risk it.

The unit we stayed in was not maintained as well. We did not get the same feel at all. There was considerable beach erosion which we understand can not be helped but the huge dredgers on and off shore did not help.

Reviewer Comments: my husband and i have been going to palm island for approximately thirty years. we have enjoyed every time we go there. it's a very special place. my husband likes to take the golf cart and go to stump pass to fish. the beach and pools are never crowded, but then we never go during public holidays. the last place we stayed was a little dated (older appliances, needed a little paint) but still was wonderful.
