Comfortable villa with unobstructed view of the Gulf on Resort, C2424B

Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.

wonderful island vacation

Reviewer Comments: Palm Island was a beautiful surprise for me and my family and although there were small setbacks perhaps due to inexperience, we had a fantastic time. The two setbacks were not being able to rent a golf car in time for our movements around the island and the pool that was assigned to us was closed and we were not recommended to use another one or not. Apart from that, everything was excellent and wonderful. I recommend it and we will return without fail.

Fantastic beach getaway

The resort staff was all smiles and friendly. Hard to find negatives but would say the unit is a bit dated. The couch has seen better days. Palm Island The Family Reunion Resort

The staff there were friendly, kind, and very helpful. My family rented about 8 villas, and the villa I stayed in was very clean, but the living area furniture was old, dirty, and very outdated. It was the same rattan furniture that was in the villas upon our very first stay there, back in the 1980’s - 1990’s. The outdated and dirty furniture wasn’t worth the money we spent staying there.

Relaxing Christmas

The Bell Staff was great and helped us with all of our luggage. The beach, grounds, kayaking, and Rum Bay restaurant were great for a family vacation, however the unit we rented 2424 is need of some paint, maintenance, and a good cleaning. The comforters were not clean, one had old food dried on it. We would recommend Palm Island for vacation just not our unit. In fact we live so close that if we stay at Palm Island again we will come and see the unit that we want to rent in advance. I understand that they are outdated but the property should have been cleaned and the toilet seat should have all of its parts.

kids weekend

They certainly understand how important it is to make people happpy and retain customers. we had a issue with security . we had three families and about 10 kids. 7 of the kids were over 16 and drove the golf carts. at times the kids did explore and go in the mud but there was no damage to property or the golf carts . security found it necessary to follow the kids everywhere and the first day threaten to take carts back . i think security should have tried to bond with our kids and taken a different approach . this made the trip less enjoyable .

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Next year will be 30 years for our family, we are roughly 40 people and get 4-5 units each year. We never receive any incentives for our loyalty or for the large group we bring each year. Our unit had one towel per bathroom and never received the extra towels we asked for. When my sister in law asked for extra dishwashing liquid, she was told she was given the standard amount! This island holds a lot of sentimental value for our family but we do entertain the idea of moving our reunion each year. We would love for our children and their children to continue our tradition at Palm Island but fear they won't be able to afford to. We booked last year before we left for the following year, but seeing as this gets us nothing, we did not do that this year. Your staff is always very friendly, but I would like to see a little more appreciation for our loyalty. I don't feel like you care if we come back next year or not. Last year, all of our credit cards were compromised on your island and we actually had a hard time with your staff instead of your apologies and hearing that you would do anything you could do to help us with this matter. We will get tired of this and find another spot to create our memories if things like this keep happening. It is very expensive to spend a week on Palm Island and I am sure we could find something cheaper. I hope this helps and we can find a reason to keep coming to Palm Island and our memories on Palm Island can continue for our children and their children.

Can’t beat this view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This resort is special, no doubt. The location, idyllic &view, perfect. The condo is spacious &comfortable & equipped with all the essentials in bathrooms &kitchen. The beds were comfy and the upstairs loft is fun for kids. Please note that although the upstairs can sleep 3, it doesn’t have any privacy whatsoever. It’s completely open to the area below &noise from the kitchen travels straight up to those sleeping. The condo overall is outdated and in need of repair. The A/C for example did not cool properly in the primary bedrm &a sink in the main bath was constantly dripping. The most obvious issue was that the front porch was blocked off due to a missing guard rail. They built a make shift fence to cordon it off but this should have been a top priority to fix before renting out the unit, especially for us w/two small dogs & a child. The entire resort is still amiss from the hurricane. There are trucks &construction vehicles driving around the property which worried me when taking a bike ride with my daughter. A main attraction of the resort is that no motor vehicles are allowed. Seems that they are trying to get things back to normal but until then, the rental prices should reflect the current condition of the resort. My main issue was the lack of cleanliness in our unit. Floors in the kitchen had crumbs when we arrived, bathroom floors were not clean and the base of the toilet bowl had grime and what looked like mold forming. The unit needs a deep clean for sure. In spite of these issues we did have a great vacation because you simply can’t beat this beach! The water temp is perfect, it’s clean &clear. You can see small fish,hermit crabs &an endless amount of large, unique shells! The beach is the star of the show &you have it all to yourself! A close second is the resort staff. Everyone we met was amazing. Friendly, polite, helpful and happy! From check in to check out it was smooth. Hats off to the bellmen team! Hope to visit again

Short walk to the Gulf to swim. Our only complaint is the tv did not work. There were no directions on how to get the tv to work. Also front desk never answered the phone whenever we called for questions. Not good if we had an emergency!
