Vacation at one of the finest on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. With 1,438 square feet of area, you can relax in our living room and look out through large windows onto the beautiful Turtle Flambeau Flowage or sit back and enjoy the fireplace! In every season, this cabin provides exceptional views of the water and the natural beauty that surrounds it. You can enjoy the fire pit near the lakes edge and listen to the calls of the many loons that the Flowage is famous for. The cabin has its own private dock with a 14 foot fishing boat and canoe. Boat motors, kayaks, and fishing guides can be provided for an extra fee.

Pack a picnic lunch, head out in your boat, canoe, or kayak to explore the famous Turtle Flambeau Flowage with over 19,000 acres of water, 212 miles of winding shoreline and many islands. The Flowage encompasses 9 lakes, three rivers and several creeks, all beautifully free of development and pollution. The Flowage has been officially designated as a protected wilderness area securing its wild beauty and unspoiled character for generations to come.

The cabin has exterior cameras in place to monitor condition outside the home for property management personnel.

Property was amazing! Right on the flowage so you could fish of the pier or take a row boat or kayak out. At the end of the driveway you could hop on the utv trail. Absolutely perfect location just outside of mercer.

Clean and good location

The house had all of the amenities we needed. It was clean and large enough for our family. A big plus was having the washer and dryer available. It allowed us to only take half the clothes we needed. We enjoyed seeing deer walk across the lawn, relaxing, walking out to the pier and hopping right on the boat to go fishing.I would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

The picture is missing leading since we can't use the bottom level. Loved the deck with a 2 year old. We felt safe with her out there. Last year, there was a table in the porch area. This year, it wasn't there so that room wasn't very useful

2 families - 4 adults and 6 children stayed here 2 years in a row. We absolutely love it at Victoria's! Thanks so much for letting us stay at the cabin! Fishing and swimming are great! We love the screen porch! Cabin is so much better than we ever expected. We plan to return again next year! Love all the amenities this cabin has to offer.

Great Place

Despite have the trolling motor burn out on my boat and losing the lower unit on the other boat when they hit something we had a great week. The cabin is great and the grandkid had a blast canoeing and swimming off the dock. The only thing extra we would like to see as another refrigerator on the porch. With a big group the refrig in the kitchen isn't big enough. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us and we are booked for 2014.

The cabin was big and clean. We were HOPING for a little beach area but there wasn't one. There were lots of big bath towels but no wash clothes or hand towels. There was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. The pillows were terrible. There were no hangers in the closets. Kitchen towels were nice. Beds were OK.

Victoria Secret Cabin was the best. Even with minus degree temps we had fun snowmobiling during the day and gathering by the fireplace in the evening to enjoy friends and playing cards. Even got in some ice fishing. We enjoyed are stay and talked all weekend about coming back. We even enjoyed dinner out at a wonderful place just across the flowage, The Gateway. Whether your looking for a romantic weekend, or time with family or friends this is the place anytime of year. The view from the house of the flowage is fabulous. This cabin has it all! Love it!!!

I cannot wait to come back - perfect family cabin!!

Just book the property - you will not be disappointed. I have 3 girls ranging from 1-15 years old and it was an absolutely perfect cabin for our family. We also had my parents stay with us and they also loved it. The views and wildlife were incredible anytime of the day. Fun watching the fish swim around the dock. My girls swam daily in front of the dock. The canoe was enjoyed many times throughout the week, too. We were within 10-20 minutes of anything we needed/wanted by boat or land and that was perfect. Walking down to the boats and having to drive a very short distance to awesome fishing spots, the falls, food and drinks, and a nice sandy beach was so convenient. We had every single dish, pan, towel, etc that you could need for a week. I also loved that I was able to come home and unpack already clean clothes thanks to the washer and dryer there. The central air conditioning felt so nice after a hot day outdoors! We had no troubles putting our 2 boats in the water and then parking the trucks and trailers at the cabin with plenty of room for us girls to run to town when we wanted without having any parking issues. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is please update some photos on this listing because the photos on here truly do not do this location and cabin justice. See you next year!

Nice place with a few drawbacks

The place was basically very nice, beautiful location and comfortable accommodations, but we had a few issues that were never resolved. 1. They have a gorgeous big picture window great room and kitchen, but NO screens on the doors or windows so you couldn't open anything up to get fresh air. Since it does not have air conditioning, it is very stuffy and made us all very disappointed that we couldn't enjoy the Northwoods sounds and fresh air. 2. We were sent instructions to pick up the house keys at the property manager's house, and when we got there, he said we didn't need to do that because the house was open. When we got to the house, it was open, but there were no keys and both the property manager's and the owner's phone numbers did not work. I tried sending a message via VRBO, but got no response. We couldn't lock the place up for the week and fortunately nothing was stolen. 3. There was a huge hornet nest on the garage door that we just avoided, and thankfully they left us alone. 4. There was no access to a water spigot on the outside of the house, everything was shut off. We were hoping to wash off our kayaks, but no luck. Not having screens was a big disappointment for us, but other than that, it was a beautiful place and a great location for kayaking!

Poor communication, dirty house, inaccurate description. Here is need to know info for your stay

First, the property owner and property manager do not communicate with eachother. Propery owner (manager of vrbo listing) does not respond in a timely manner to renters, if at all. This property is listed in 2 different locations which provide conflicting information (Vrbo and Northland Lodging LLC). The house was dirty when we arrived. A half stick of salami hanging from the chandelier, moldy stinky dishes in the dishwasher, sticky counter and table, pile of dirty towels and bedding in the closet, squashed bug guts and blood on the walls (I get this happens, but is an easy thing to wipe off as you clean). The living area windows had no screens, but we later found them under a bed. Also no screens on the patio doors. There is no swimming area. The shoreline is all weeds and there is no lader on the dock. **caution! The doc is very wobbly with trip hazard boards** We fixed the bedroom door that wouldn't shut, just needed the hinge tightened. -You will need aprox 300 feet of extension cord to reach your boat for battery charging. -NOT handicap accessible at all -Nowhere to turn around in the driveway with a boat trailer, so be advised. We had to park our trailer on the roadside, have a trailer lock handy. The location on the flowage is wonderful! We had good fishing, enjoyed the wildlife that wandered through (doe and two fawns) and the loons calling. We would definitely recommend vacationing in the area, just not this property.

Wonderful fishing getaway

This property has everything you need for a week in the Northwoods, wonderful dock for a boat with some pretty amazing scenery and views. It had all the amenities that you could possibly ask for in a secluded and quiet area. The owner was quite helpful answering my questions. We had a great stay

Excellent rental had everything we needed, even down to the firewood. Was a fairly long boat ride to the fishing hot spots that particular week but overall a great time. We’ll be back. Next time with a larger, faster boat.

Good choice for family vacation

We had a lovely week in a great waterfront location. There was a snag with check in. The instructions gave direction to the office of the property manager. The “office” was a remote private residence that was nothing short of a rundown junkyard with no one home. A phone call(s) went unanswered. When he did call back we were told the property was never locked and just go there. The property itself was clean and very well appointed. To no one’s fault the water level was very low which resulted in the pier very high out of the water. As a result the older adults with limited mobility, were physically unable to get from the pier into the boat or water, which was disappointing. We did text the property manager to see if the pier could be moved further out (it’s on wheels) and he responded he would check with the owner but we never heard back from the property manager.

Best house ever

This house was absolutely wonderful! To start it was immaculately clean. I am a contractor so I can say the construction is of high quality. All the windows and screens are solid and bug proof. We did not see a single bug in the house all week. that is rare. The design and layout are awesome, just beautiful! The master upstairs bedroom is big with a huge immaculate bathroom with a big double vanity sink. Fantastic water pressure in showers with unlimited hot water. All the mattresses were just right for comfort. Not too hard and not too soft. The whole house is filled with rustic charm and lots of cool details and artifacts. walls have awesome pictures that kept showing up reminding me of this north woods paradise. Awesome great room with spectacular view and a HUGE deck! Has a long solid pier for your boat and a breathtaking view to sit on in morning with your coffee with many loons to serenade you. The fishing was fabulous as me and my son landed and released 6 smallmouth bass between 4 -5 pounds and 2 musky's. We caught many 3 pound bass in addition! I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this house and it's location on the water. great smallmouth bass fishing very close to the house. I have traveled all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Canada and this was easily my most favorite of them all. We will be returning again for sure.

Great vacation!

House is beautiful. We had a great vacation fishing and spend time on the water. We rented a boat from Mike which was at the dock when we got there. Very convenient.

Beautiful location

Pros- The house and location are beautiful! The house has everything you could need. We caught a lot of fish the week we were there. Also we don’t know if the TV works….we never turned it on. Cons-While the house is advertised as having a walkout basement….the doors are locked and you do not have access to it. It also is advertised as having air conditioning….it has a portable air conditioner that didn’t cool the house at all and that could be because Mother Nature decided to have a hot flash. We took the unit upstairs to the beautiful master bathroom and tripped the breaker. We told the property manager on Wednesday about it because the breaker box is in the basement and didn’t see him at all and we left on Saturday. Overall it was a great vacation

50-50 Vacation

Let's start with the positives. Very nice home. Abundant wildlife ( deer in yard every day, turkeys, eagles, osprey, and loons ). Beautiful northwoods atmosphere with local attractions and amenities. Enjoyable time with daughter and husband. Negatives: Chose this home in part because of the gentle slope from house to dock ( wife walks with cane and I manage) but, in the 47 pictures one should have shown the eight steps at the back of the house. Dated appliances (noisy cloths washer and SLOW dryer) Dishwasher did not work (replaced Wednesday). One paddle for canoe, The biggest negative was low lake water level affecting dock accessibility and boat rental selection negating what was supposed to be a fishing vacation, We should have been notified so other small boat options could have been made. Overall, nice property. Would I rent again? NO Very disappointed !!!!!!!

We enjoy visiting our cabin and relaxing with our friends and family that visit us when we are there. We built the cabin in 2008 and have enjoyed ice fishing, snowmobiling, boating and buying antiques in many of the small towns near our cabin. We enjoy the sounds of the loons when they call and watching/feeding the bald eagles that nest near our cabin.

Why they chose this property

We built our cabin with the intent of enjoying the recreational activities with friends and family. The uniqueness and limited access to private land owners on the Flowage was one of our desires in owning a second home.

What makes this property unique

The fishing is excellent, we know and are friends with several great fishing guides on the lake so for a beer or two I can usually pry the information out of them. We routinely feed the bald eagles the fish remains after cleaning them, both in the summer and winter months. We have an ice shanty and can drive out on the lake to catch some nice Walleyes.
