Luxurious, private family getaway!

Stephanie and her staff catered to all our family's needs. We had varied dietary needs that were very well met. All meals were delectable and served quite elegantly. The pool was well maintained and the view of the Caribbean Sea with brilliant sunrises and dreamy sunsets provided the ideal backdrop for a memorable family vacation. We highly recommend this resort!

Our Wedding in paradise....

When i went on HomeAway and saw Villa Bennmaya I knew it was the one for us. My fiance and i were planning our wedding and we were taking our kids. He has two and I have one. My conversations started with Stephanie about what kind of wedding we wanted and the details. She was amazing!!! I would send her ideas and she would be completely on the same page. I felt like we were best friends before we even arrived in Jamaica. We were picked up at the airport by the driver who had a cooler of Red Stripe and water and then arrived at the Villa. The pictures do not do it justice- magnificent and beautiful. We were greeted by Stephanie and Ray- they could not have been more welcoming. The Villa was absolutely awesome. So clean and beautifully decorated. The views were breathtaking. Carol and Jolie always turned down our rooms at night and immaculately cleaned our rooms the next day. Stephanie made sure that we never needed anything. She told us all the cool places to go. We went to the Blue Hole one . day and LOVED it. Not many tourist and so pretty. Ray took us to Dr. No beach and hooked us up with some great guys who took us snorkeling in a glass bottom boat! We visited the market with Ray and he told us about all the local fruits and veggies and each morning or night when he presented the dinners we got to see how they were prepared. The wedding... Breathtaking and unbelievable. Stephanie took care of everything and never missed a beat. The beach was beautiful, the flowers, the cake, the steal drummer, the signature drink, everything was magical. I felt so sad the day we leaving because we had been treated so nice and lovingly. Ocho Rios and The Bennmaya staff gave us memories that we will never forget as a family and we cannot wait to go back!!!!!! Yeh Mon. Amy and John and family-USA , Virginia

Gorgeous view and great staff

We had a wonderful 21days at Villa Bennmaya. The house is right above the Caribbean Sea, so you hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. Stephanie, the House Manager, is very helpful with reservations and suggestions on day trips. We loved the Chef’s meals, especially the whole fresh snapper and jerk chicken. The staff keeps the house very clean and will do your laundry if needed. The house is perfect for 4 couples because all the bedrooms are identical with en-suite baths. We loved it!

Perfect family vacation

Voyage de rêve en famille, la villa est encore mieux qu'en photo, l’accueil est excellent et la vue a l'arrivé sur l'océan juste wow. Le personnel est chaleureux et discret, toujours la pour vous. Stéphanie est très aimable et sait bien conseiller ses invitées. Répond au communication rapidement et ce qui nous met en confiance rapidement. La nourriture est excellente merci a notre cuisinier smoke aussi chanteur a voir sur youtube Jasmine prépare une table ravissante toujours avec un sourire resplendissant une charmante dame. Merci a Lisa pour la propreté des chambres. L'espace est grand et convivial, les chambres spacieuse bien décoré et la vue sur l’océan pour deux d'entre elle rend les réveilles merveilleux sous le chant des oiseau. Facilement accessible par la route principale a deux quelques minutes en voiture de deux plages bien jolies, sugar pot & James bond beach. Plusieurs excursions possible a faire prêt de la villa le divertissement est grand dans la région et le paysage splendide. Ne pas hésiter a réserver vous ne serai pas déçu. Je suis dans le domaine du touriste depuis plus de 15 ans j'ai voyager a travers le monde la villa Bennmaya et Stéphanie feront de votre séjour du rêve a la réalité. Ocho Ríos relaxation

Stephanie was a pleasure to work with! She coordinated every detail and did not steer us wrong with our many outings to places such as Dunn’s River, Blue Hole and Sun Valley Plantation. The food at the villa was amazing and really gave us a taste of traditional Jamaican cuisine. The pool setting was gorgeous and all the staff was very attentive to our needs. I would recommend a trip and a stay at Bennmaya Villa.

Great Experience

5 stars stay for the weekend with my family. The place was very clean and the staff were extremely polite. The chef made some of the best food I've tasted in a long time... The rooms were clean and spacious. Overall, my family loved it and we would definitely look into going back again next year. Its worth checking out.

Sun-trap Villa Over Looking the Ocean

As the villa was booked by the bride for her wedding guests I had no preconceived ideas, nor any input into the selection process - other than the bride knowing I only do FABULOUS! Villa Bennmaya absolutely met my demanding needs. Our bedrooms opened out onto the pool area. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable double beds and pillows, high ceilings, overhead fan and free standing fan plus a mosquito net over the bed which wasn't really needed as the villa is located right on the edge of the ocean (no beach) where there were hardly any mosquitoes and a lovely cooling breeze. The communal area was beautifully decorated, the meals prepared on site by staff were delicious and what was on offer was over and above our simple food preference requests, the garden was green and well manicured, the pool cleaned every day and well stocked with inflatables, sun loungers were cushioned and comfortable and most importantly the staff, who worked on shifts so there was someone on site 24hours a day, were friendly and made us feel at home. I preferred to stay by the pool in the villa then venture out on excursions! Our house manager Stephanie was extremely knowlegable with regard to the local area and the island in general. Also the lounge was well stocked with excursion leaflets and strong wifi signal. The only reason I've not given my stay a full 5 star rating is because I would of loved to have been able to walk from the villa to the beach and the road to the Villa was potholed and super bumpy - but these things are just location issues. The Villa its self was lovely and perfect in every way. PS I didn't have any problems with the floor of the wet room but my roommate did slip on the wet floor, perhaps the floor tiles in the ensuite bathrooms could be painted with a clear coat of nonslip/ rough surface paint which you find in some swimming pools.

Trip to Villa Bennmaya

We spent our spring break at Villa Bennmaya along with another couple and their two daughters. The property has enough space for (4) adults and (4) teenagers to sleep comfortably. Each room has (2) full size beds, walk in closets and spacious showers setup with beach towels and straw hats to protect you from the sunny days during your stay. When the weather does not allow you to be by the pool, you can relax in the living room and dining room with space for 8 people. Our driver for the week helped us coordinate additional excursions, took us shopping and site seeing on the island. We spend time on local beaches and had the opportunity to ride Jet Skis. Some took advantage of the opportunity to arrange massages. The Bennmaya staff prepared breakfast and dinner during our stay. Most mornings we had eggs that were tastefully prepared. The staff prepared salt fish with local spices. We also had fried chicken with jerk dipping sauce, fish, ox tail stew and goat. The staff also guided us on our first walk to the beach very close to the villa and pointed out some of local trees that grow ackee. We went tubing down the Dunns River, climbed the falls and went horseback riding. We also went on a private glass bottom boat where we had the chance to snorkel. The staff helped us to coordinate dinner at the Ruins restaurant which has a falls running through the center of the eatery. If you want a true vacation filled with culture, friendly people and activities, Villa Bennmaya is the destination.

The most perfect place to relax

Vacations are meant to be relaxing escapes, during which time ticks away slowly and the real world seems a blessedly great distance away. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, fronting the Caribbean sea, Villa BennMaya offers all the amenities of a resort, with all the solitude of a private island. This is not Sandals. This is a secluded, private villa where one can wend away the hours soaking sun on the pool deck, interrupted only by sumptuous local meals prepared by the villa staff. (Or, perhaps, an intensive in-room massage from a local practitioner.) Yet only a few kilometers away are the beaches, attractions and shopping enjoyed by thousands of resorts and cruise ship visitors around the busy port of Ocho Rios. BennMaya offers the best of both worlds -- the Jamaica of Ian Fleming and Noel Coward (whose estates are nearby) and that of Carnival and Norwegian Cruises. Stephanie, who runs Bennmaya, is a bigger-than-life personality whose zest for life is only surpassed by the intense flavor of her cuisine. Her strong local connections mean nothing is out of the question for BennMaya guests; if you have an idea, Stephanie has a way to make it happen. I've been visiting BennMaya for many years. It's my favorite hideaway, and if you visit, I'm confident it will become yours as well.

Hypnotic Views

The view from this property is more than stunning it is breath taking and entrancing. I sat for hours just taking in all of the beauty. And the best thing is this is only steps away from your room door. The main living area is spacious, the rooms are clean and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. There is access to internet, a pool and a staff led by Stephanie who are more than happy to assist with your vacation needs.

Heaven On Earth

Bennmaya was quite relaxing. The view from the pool deck is breath taking. A wonderful staff with a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry makes the stay at the villa that more relaxing as you will feel right at home. The villas are not located too far from the main city squares of Oracabesa or Ocho Rios so the chance to immerse oneself in the local culture will definitely present itself(as long as you are willing to explore and have the time to do so). In a nutshell, Bennmaya offers a balanced package. A package which rivals those of any other villa without the unnecessary frills.

Rustic Luxury!!

I had the pleasure of first staying at Villa Bennmaya back in August of 2001 when I was young, single and free!! The stay change my life forever. At the time it was notably called Rose Manor, no doubt because of all the beautiful floral the property boasts. I remember arriving and being so overwhelmed by the flawless panoramic beauty of the Caribbean sea that I began to weep. When you step inside the main house of Bennmaya and are greeted with an endless sky and sea line it stirs something deep in the soul. I spent the next ten days in a true Nirvana. Since, I have returned several times and each experience has been no less than Paradise manifested. Now my visits are with my native Jamaican husband and my beautiful children, TOLDJA IT CHANGED MY LIFE!!! I respectfully envy the Owners and Villa Manager, for they get have it all the time!! I highly recommend Villa Bennmaya, it will truly offer peace, beauty, inspiration, and love!! I look forward to future stays... BEWARE it will be hard to leave!!

Breathtaking

I LOVE LOVE staying at Bennmaya!!! Quality service, staff team, and the food is DELICIOUS!! I may sound cliche, but, once you stay here it so hard to say goodbye. The view is breathtaking, ocean sound is soothing, and seems like a home away home vibe. Another treat is the location, where many attractions (e.g. Dunn's River Fall, Dolphin Cove, and etc) less than 20 minutes away. Breathtaking

The place was recently upgraded and my, what an upgrade! The rooms are very comfortable. The layout of the villa gives you utmost privacy, scenic views and easy access to the pool. The place is well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Met Stephanie and she was very warm and welcoming! One of the better deals in town. Grab a few friends or make it a couples wknd/wk and make this place your home away from home!

beautiful stay in Ocho Rios

My family and I are thrilled with our recent stay at Villa Bennmaya. Our time here was filled with ease and grace. We love to dive into the cuisine of where ever we are visiting, and this house was equipped with all we could have needed to cook up some fabulous Jamaican dishes. Stephanie, the house manager, expertly guided us to the all of best restaurants, shops and grocery stores to pick up all our needs. The bustling town of Ocho Rios is close enough to feel a part of all that is happening. And we were always thankful to return to our sanctuary for more rest and relaxation.Thanks to Joe, the pool was always ready for a swim. Stephanie, a professional chef, served us an amazing traditional Jamaican dinner one evening. Truly divine! Many thanks to the gracious staff that was always one step ahead of us, predicting our next desire. I cannot say enough about how relaxed and rejuvenated I feel after a week at Villa Bennmaya.
