Perfect for families with children and pets!

My husband and I traveled with our two geriatric dogs. We had three (litter mates) until we lost one of them suddenly in February due to illness. We could not travel without them due to their confusion and separation anxiety that followed. I was thrilled to find a pet friendly home with a private pool that allowed us to get away for a bit. This property was perfect. The pool and pool deck are a good size and the fenced in yard includes safe space for our boys to be off leash and secure. The stairs from the first floor to the pool deck were manageable for our boys and easy to navigate. It would be perfect for small kids who struggle to navigate a whole flight of outdoor stairs, which are common so close to the shore. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. While we did not use any of the upstairs bedrooms they were all well appointed and comfortable looking. The bunk room would be an adventure for children and was well constructed and solid. I noticed other reviews complaining of cleanliness issues. We did not encounter this and I am picky. There was dust on the blinds here and there but that is unavoidable in a home that is often open to the breeze. Speaking of the breeze, both large balconies toward the gulf are screened. This is a lovely feature because it allowed us to open the doors and enjoy the air flowing through the home without worrying about bugs. I loved reading on the balcony at every time of day. We would definitely stay here again and bring along many more of our family. It was well worth it for just my husband and me and the dogs to be able to be together so close to the waves and without a long stair run for the dogs to navigate to get there.

Room to improve

This is a beautiful house in a quaint and quiet location. I loved the close proximity to the beach and park trails overlooking the bay behind us. I pulled down a coffe maker from a top cupboard to find it still had coffee in it with a film of slimey mold covering it. Dishes in the cupboard were dirty, like they were put away without being washed. A bathing suit liner was stuck to the back patio door. While the cleanliness of certain things was disappointing, the most frustrating was not having access to the beach closet until our last day. Our families are from Indiana and did not bring many of the things that are advertised in the listing. We had no beach chairs, toys, etc because these things were supposed to be provided. After contacting Vacassa several times throughout the week and being told someone from the "local team" would contact me, I finally got a code that worked on the last day. Overall the house and location were great, but I probably would not stay here again because of all of the unnecessary hassle and cleanliness of some areas.

Salty Daze - Amazing!!!

The house was very comfortable, every room had their own bathroom and the rooms themselves were so roomy. The Beach only steps away is gorgeous and so very relaxing. The screened in porches were a heavenly retreat for morning coffee or to unwind from shell collecting at the end of the day. I went in December with family and gathering in the kitchen and great room for meals and games was exceptional, there was room for everyone whether at the dining room table the bar or in the living area. The time of year I went we did not use the pool, but that outdoor area was roomy ,private and tropical. There were some rainy days and the covered carport was a great place to gather outside while still being protected from the outdoor elements. There was also an outdoor shower that my husband thoroughly enjoyed!!! This house is perfect for large families or for Bridesmaid trips or other group trips!!! The other gem I must say is the PARKING, there is ample room for 6 vehicles to park!! Almost unheard of. This was a memorable trip thank you !!!

Perfect house for our family!

We had 6 adults and 3 young children with us on our trip. The bedroom setup was great! The kids loved being upstairs in the bunk room and each of the adult couples loved having king beds and private baths. We enjoyed the private pool on several days and the short walk over to the beach was easy. We loved the location being so close to Salinas Park and we utilized the playground, Pickle Ball courts and the scenic trail many days. The kids also loved being able to ride their scooters on the big driveway at the house. The screened porches were very nice and we appreciated all of the chairs, floats and the beach wagon that the storage closet was equipped with. The angle of the house allowed me to sit on the upper porch and watch the beautiful sunrise. He outdoor shower was also really nice after a day at the beach. I could see this being a place our family chooses again and again!
