Each house has its own dock and gas grill, but the fire pit, tree swing and 55 foot zip line are shared. Other things to note Place for kids.
This is our lake home. It is fully stocked. It isn't the bare minimums of some places. We have worked hard to make this the kind of place we want to spend time, and I admit that I'm a bit of kid at heart. So, I have put everything I can in here to make sure my 9 year old daughter and 12 year old son love coming to the lake, even on a rainy day. In fact, my son asked to have his birthday party at the lake and bring a string of friends.
Birding.
In addition, the lake has made us amateur birders. There are bald eagles that live on the lake. Kayaking out into the lake and watching a bald eagle scoop up a fish will make you into a birder too. We have seen great horned owls that live on the island. We watched a pair of osprey raise two babies this year in a nest just 4 feet off the water. White pelicans and double crested cormorants arrive in late October for the winter. To me it is magical to watch a pelican scoop up a shad and see the fish wriggle in the pelican's waddle; I promise it looks like the pelican smiles when you see this happen. Pileatead woodpeckers are common. Birding books and binoculars are provided in the house.
Astronomy.
The night sky over the lake, which is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest is special. It is quite dark. My kids and I have sat on the dock and watched the international space station fly over head many times. Shooting stars are quite plentiful when you have a dark sky.

The Host was great. The response and accommodations were top notch. The opportunities for activities were amazing. Highly recommend for a larger family get away.
We had an absolute blast at this property and house! It was spacious enough for our family and had the extra amenities to ensure all of our kids were entertained! We used the games, the kayaks, the swing, and the zip line. Highly recommend this house! The location and the area are just right too. You’re close to a grocery store but far away from highly populated areas.

Liked: Communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
An issue at check-in but host was responsive and accommodating. Neighbors’ dog barking a night was not fun. View was nice. Inside is VERY vintage ….I felt like I was house sitting at my grandma’s old lake house. For us, it was ok.
House was exactly as advertised, very clean, host was exceptionally responsive, the outdoor area was so much fun! Watching the sun rise and set from this property was an extra bonus!
It could have been nice if it were cleaned better, spider webs covered all the windows. They had spiders inside on the ceiling and ants in the master bathroom. Also smelled moldy and very much needs updating. The zip line is frayed and not safe. We only stayed 1 night. I can without a doubt say this property is false advertising and very overpriced.
The house was amazing, it had everything you'd want. The kids loved the zip line. Everyone loved the kayaks. I would recommend this property, the whole family had a great time.
Jason was super friendly, and the property was amazing! Very clean, and plenty of room for a group of people or a family. The pool table was a fun bonus to this location. Also, the beds were comfy!!!
From the zipline to the kayaks, pool table and ping pong (not to mention the games--and the two large tables that are perfect for them), this place was voted one of the best from a teen group. The comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, wonderful views and wonderfully communicative host ranked high amongst the adults (who also played quite a few games as well). We would return again and book more time to enjoy everything this property offers!
Amazing weekend getaway. We celebrated one of the kids birthdays with family. There was so much to do at the property, they were never bored! The owner was quick to communicate, and the house was cleaned, organized, and stocked with everything you could need! We can’t wait to go back!
Great location minutes away from several lakes and mountains. Very comfortable house with plenty of room and great AC. Kids were never bored. Will be back again.
Everything is exactly as advertised. House has more than most short term rentals. Jason answered every question quickly and had great recommendations.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
This was not quite the stay we expected. The owner Jason was awesome at communication & I did appreciate that. The house is older, & that’s ok but there were a few things not great. The ping pong room was very hot, as well as the pool table room. I requested a window unit for the ping pong room so we could use it & Jason was very prompt at getting one put in. That was great! We didn’t use pool table at all as it is in a garage & was too hot. There were lots of dead bugs in windowsills in ping pong room. The towels were very stained to the point I washed a load first before we used them. There was a lot of trash in boat house but we didn’t use it. There were broken chairs behind shed building in front of boat house but they came and picked those up. The gas grill was a mess, we used the stand alone charcoal grill & it was fine. A couple of the blinds were on their last leg & there was some what looked like crumbs & stuff in freezer that I cleaned out. The main toilet was very loose when we arrived & my husband tightened it up first thing. There was lots of dust & dirt in the vents. The air ended up going out so we headed home 2 nights early, actually 3 because we left Wednesday evening & was supposed to leave Saturday morning. Jason did offer window units but it was too hot & too many of us for that. The beds were comfy & the swing, zip line & kayaks were fun. If the air had lasted we would have stayed since I cleaned pretty well the 2nd day & it felt better. Outside was good.
This house was very nice with plenty of space for the whole family. A great view from the living room of the lake and just steps away from the dock. The neighbors are quite close so be prepared to keep kids quiet and in your yard.
My husband and I rented this property to celebrate our son turning 16. Him and his friends had a blast kayaking, fishing, playing pool, ping pong, and zip lining. There was plenty of towels & toiletry items. Jason was very quick to respond with any questions. Great location on the lake, as well.

About the host
Hosted by Jason Bolden
I love spending time at the lake with my kids. I have tried very hard to make this a place where kids have a blast and stay off electronics as much as possible. I caught the largest fish of my life on this lake, a 20 pounder! And I enjoy watching the birds.
Why they chose this property
This place is special. The memories we make here from kayaking, zip lining, fishing, grilling, star gazing, playing board games, having ping pong tournaments, playing pool, and relaxing in the tree swing or at the picnic table at sunset will be with me for a life time. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
For several years now, the ospreys have raised a brood in the nest on the water. I often kayak out to about 20 yards away (any closer and Mom Osprey may take your hat) and just sit and watch the mom and dad osprey bring fish to the ever hungry baby ospreys. Bald eagles, great grey owls, pileated woodpeckers, pelicans, belted kingfishers, great blue herons are regulars on the lake.
