The children will love the rock wall-accessed play loft, the tree fort, trampoline, swing set, and Wii. Enjoy outdoor cooking in the rock fire pit or grill. Relax on the 225 sqft vaulted screen porch or soak in a candle lit jacuzzi tub. The exposed beam great room is the perfect place to play board games, cards, watch a movie, or bask in the flames from the central stone fireplace. Want to have a special night out with your spouse? Take advantage of our daughter's baby sitting services. She is a certified baby sitter with reasonable rates and lots of experience taking care of her 6 siblings. Family dogs are welcome to stay in 'The Coop,' our chicken yard turned outdoor dog kennel. The Rock House Cabin is the perfect home-base to stage your romantic mountain wedding at the Pavilion or Red Bluff Overlook. Whether you need to bring the whole family, have a girls' getaway, want to scrapbook, plan a reunion, anniversary, or a romantic escape, the Rock House Cabin can accommodate your needs. We specialize in making your stay special! Great location!

The location was our favorite part of our stay!! It’s very close to lots of great things, including the turtle rocks that we loved! We had a couple complaints, the Wii wouldn’t read any of the games and my kids were disappointed about that and our kids said that 2 of the bunk bed room mattresses had really uncomfortable springs in their backs all night. Overall, it was a nice stay for our group of 12!

This place was awesome! Super spacious with plenty of room for big groups. Very clean, great hosts, and an awesome location inside Petit Jean State park. The Christmas tree was a great touch! My family plans to stay here again.

Could no beat this location.

Great location within the Petite Jean Park. The property was great with big open yard for kids to play and a nice fire ring. Owner was responsive but we did not really need anything. Would stay there again. My only complaints was the grill was basically unusable(burners rusted out and very uneven flames) without a grill top skillet I had and their pots and pans could be improved to make cooking more pleasant. Also the kids complained about mattresses in their room with bunks and trundle. I agreed with them as I could feel springs on some more than others. Other bedrooms were good. Like I said I would stay there again but just some minor stuff to make things usable and comfortable.

Jeff and Sarah were awesome hosts. They were quick to respond, friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect for us as it was convenient to our relative and all the amenities of Petit Jean. Great House in a Great Location

We were looking for a reunion location near hiking, biking, food, and attractions. The Rock House near Petit Jean State Park, AR is perfect. The House is comfortable and easy for our group of eight. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable dining and sleeping facilities and supplies. No problems. We recommend the Rock House and hope to stay there again.

Quaint and Comfortable Property

We had a friend-cation and our entire group LOVED the location, the hiking, fishing, swimming, etc. The property owner was responsive and friendly. Kitchen was well-stocked with basic cooking utensils, pots, and pans. A/C worked well. If cell service is top priority, you may need to travel as the location is remote and not all of us had cell service. Wi-fi is available and of moderate speed. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It was such an enjoyable location and quaint home. We would absolutely book again.

Family Christmas

This was an excellent choice for our family members to celebrate our 2022 Christmas together. At first, our entrance code did not work. It only took a quick phone call to the property manager to get it resolved. Very nicely decorated for the season. It was very well stocked and clean. The fireplace added a very nice touch for our pictures. We would go again if the opportunity arises.

Perfect Family Getaway

We enjoyed hours using the firepit. The kids loved the loft and all the bedding choices and the trampoline. The inside of the home was spotless. The 3 bathrooms were a plus with all the family. The yard was more rustic. We were disappointed that the propane was empty but upon contacting the owner found that the spare that was provided was missing to her dismay. The location was better than ideal. It was private but close to park amenities and hiking. We also took a day trip to Hot Springs.

Meet the Croswell Crew and welcome to our family's Peace of Petit Jean! We are Jeff and Sarah Croswell, both native Arkansans, along with our seven (that’s right, 7!) wonderful children. Jeff, a graduate of University of Arkansas, is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and a Rotarian. Sarah is an 8th Grade Science Teacher, Student Council Advisor and UIL One Act Play Assistant Director.

Why they chose this property

The Rock House Cabin was our main residence until 2014, when we moved into town to be closer for all the children's activities. At one time this property served as home to Turtle Rock Farms--our family's Certified Naturally Grown pastured poultry and heirloom tomato farm and greenhouse. Petit Jean Mountain was always our favorite summer destination, so when we had the opportunity to purchase a cabin, we jumped on it. While remodeling, our family fell in love with the idea of living here more than just on the weekends, so we sold our house in Conway and made the move permanent. The original cabin had two bedrooms, one bath, one closet, and no flooring or central heat and air. In order to accommodate a family of our size, we added two bedrooms, two baths, several closets, central heat & air, two porches, new windows, flooring, a laundry room, siding, and remodeled the kitchen. This property has been a labor of love for us and we hope to always keep it in our family for getaways, parties, and reunions. Sharing the Rock House Cabin with others will ensure that our family's Peace of Petit Jean will be around for years to come.
