The spacious “LavaBarn” in Lava Hot Springs

Welcome to the “Lava Barn” the perfect gathering place for large families. Our home is located in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. The Lava Barn was originally the centerpiece of a dairy farm established in the 1940’s. While the barn itself has been totally remodeled, the charm of the dairy still remains. The property is located 5 minutes from downtown where you’ll find epic river tubing and the famous Lava Hot Springs.

The main level of the LavaBarn is the central gathering area for cooking, eating, relaxing, playing games, and watching movies. This level includes a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious dining area, a gas fireplace, a 75" TV, a massage chair (yep!) and a full bathroom.

Overlooking the main gathering area is the king master suite, located in the loft. The suite includes a 55" TV and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

There are three bedrooms located on the lower level. Two of these bedrooms (one king and one queen) include a 55" TV and a set of bunk beds each (twin over full).

The third bedroom is located in a more secluded area of the lower level. This area has its own living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The bedroom has a queen bed and a set of twin bunks. The living room has a pullout sofa and a 55" TV. This space is perfect for families in the group with smaller children who need more room to spread out. A pack n' play/travel crib is located in this space.

In total, there are 4 full bathrooms at the LavaBarn. Three have walk-in showers and one includes a shower/tub combo (located on the main level).

Outside there is a large patio area with places to sit and watch the sunset, listen to trains passing by, or gaze at the stars.

The door access code was not available until a call the property host. Then quick response in after 1500. The rest fo the three night stay was great for 7 adults and one toddler. Great space and Bathroom for every room. Each married couple (3) had private bath and shower and one single adult. This worked out great. Great open spaces to gather for Christmas Day. Only low point NO seasonal decorations for such a significant holiday week. My adult daughter saved the day with her 2ft christmas tree!

Wonderful home

We enjoyed the large gathering areas, wonderful kitchen, and quiet area. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. It’s only a quick 5 min drive to town and the pools, but very peaceful and quiet. Justin was great to communicate with.

Annual Lava summer trip

The home and property was fantastic. The only downfall to staying here for any length of time would be that the owner doesn’t allow access to the homes washing machine making it difficult to wash soiled kitchen, bath, and beach towels. However the home is located on a stunning piece of property only minutes from the pool and hot pots.

Perfection

Magazine photo quality home and views. Nice finishes. Plenty of room. Everything was quality. I couldn’t be happier! You can tell this isn’t just a cheap flip property, this was made to be loved. The ONLY thing we missed having was a dryer for our pool towels, but that’s such a minor inconvenience. We loved our stay. Close enough to the action but not close enough to be noisy. Watched wild turkeys and deer through the windows. Perfection.
