About this property
Waterfront Cottage
Waterfront cottage on waters edge recently remodeled and new to the rental market. Cottage is nicely decorated and has everything you need. Almost every room in the house has water view. Beside the views, location is another great amenity. You will feel as if you are so far away but yet so convenient to all the shops & restaurants. Thomas Point Beach is 2 minutes drive or bike ride that offers summer festivals, summer activities, sandy beach, and campgrounds.
Imagine waking up to the sound of crashing waves and the ocean breeze? Well…you will get that most days. Sit at the deck with your morning coffee and just admire the views, peace, and tranquility that the cottage and the coast has to offer. Watch boats and kayakers go by. Highly recommend that you bring bikes or a canoe or kayak so you could explore the area on water or on land. Depending on the tides and season, you could fish stripers right off of the rocks or pick mussels and oysters in front of the cottage. Plenty of fresh Mere Point oysters around to be found. We have shuck knifes for your convenience in case you got some or go to the sandy beach and watch clam diggers at work. You could also buy steamers right there to bring home and enjoy at boat price. If you are looking for a Maine vacation experience, this may be it!
We are half hour to Portland, half hour to Boothbay Harbor and 2 hours to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Amazing week in beautiful Maine. The cottage location was very convenient to explore the coastal region. The house was very comfortable with nice neighbors. We really enjoyed our week.
Great spot right on the water. My kids loved going down to the water at low tide and finding shells. It was a short drive to Brunswick and Route 1. I’d definitely stay here again.
The property is in a great location to enjoy the Maine waterways and views. Easy access to the water and a great beach a mile down the road. We would stay here again!
Clean, nicely decorated and stocked, and located right on the water with 180 degree views of tidal inlet. Should have brought binoculars to bird watch.
We enjoyed our stay here. The views are great and it was quiet and peaceful. Thought for the price we paid the amenities could have been a little more up to date. No dishwasher - will be on my must haves next time lol.. The house has well water - smelled like sulfur (bring bottled water). Plenty of things to do in the area though and the kids had fun.
This cozy cottage on a quiet lane has a beautiful view of the water. We saw a multitude of water fowl. The landtrust area just down the road made for beautiful morning walks with many birds and deer to keep you company. The neighbors were friendly and the host was responsive and helpful.
The cottage has great water views and we were greeted by a bald eagle, deer and a shy skunk the first day. Our last morning we had a seal on the rocks just out from the shore. Lots of great food and walking trails nearby.
We absolutely loved this spot. It was a little bit of a spotty check in and was pretty warm once we finally got in but the host was quick to help us solve the little problems and even had an additional number on hand for us to use if necessary. The inside was inviting and well stocked and maintained with super comfortable bedding. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!
Perfect location on Casco Bay to view nature. Secluded yet grocery stores and restaurants are just a 5 minute drive. Ride your bike to Thomas Point Beach or Woodward Point preserve.
House was well equipped and the views were outstanding! Would visit again.
My husband & I come to Maine many times a year to vacation or visit family & friends This year we stayed here for our anniversary. The home was a lovely and comfortable place to stay. It was perfect for us. Very clean and in a quiet area. TY Laura! We hope to come back again next year.
Our stay at the cottage was excellent; the view was wonderful, and we saw eagles catching fish within an hour of arriving. The location was perfect for our purposes (mainly disc golf in the area) and it was minutes from conveniences and food. The cottage is cute and comfortable, although a few minor things like the shower would benefit from some TLC. Overall a nice stay.
Location was pleasant and accomodations were as expected. The view of the water was welcome and relaxing and we enjoyed the firepit.
Grocery stores and other amenities were close by, and we had a great time visiting small towns in the surronding area.
Swimming would not be recommended but there was plenty of shellfish to dig up right out the front door. Steep steps to the edge of the water would not be easy for those hard of walking or young children.
This is a great location right on the water and near Brunswick. It was everything we hoped for…. except the place needs to be better cleaned and maintained. The floor was dirty enough we had to wash our feet after walking on it. The dishes and silverware required washing before we could use them. It was wonderful to have a Keurig but it took a half hour to clean and flush it so water would go through clear. Having a better cleaning crew would be a huge improvement.
We had a lovely getaway in this cute cottage nestled on the shores of Maine’s central coast. Adjacent properties are pretty close but if you’re not looking for seclusion it’s absolutely okay.
The pictures make it seem like there’s a dock available but that’s next door. Old staircase to get down to the water, and the trees are partially blocking the view. We had some lovely campfires here and the view is sublime.

Deceptive photo and description
This would be a lovely vacation property if there had been easy access to the water. The photo in the advertisement shows the neighbor's dock and what looks like a sandy/pepplely beach. A great fuss was made in the advertisement about being able to harvest oysters at your doorstep. Unfortunaately in order to access the water one had to navigate decrept wooden steps that ended in seaweed covered (and therefore slippery) green fly and mosquito infested rocks. I'm not sure wheree the oysters were supposed to be.
We love to swim and boat so fortunately for us the nextdoor neighbor on one side offered us the use of her dock to swim off of. The water is beautiful! To be fair, we were able to wash out the filty kayak on the property, bring up the padddles from the bulkhead basement and my husband was able to bring the kayak down to the rocks so we able to kayak although taking off and landing we not the most pleasant expeiences. There's a canoe too be getting it down to the water was a bit to challenging for us.
But even if you just enjoy sitting in the sun and looking at the water, without a dock this is difficult to do. There is a narrow porch on the side of the house, where there's room for two people to sit at the same table but this porch overlooks the side of the neighbor's house and lawn.
If this property were a third of the price, we would have no complaints but we were expecting a bit more for what was for us a rather expensive bayside vacation.
Perfect for us close location wise for visiting my so at college, close to freeport for shopping, house was so comfortable and had amazing views. Everything you needed was supplied, cant wait to visot again
