Waterfront Cottage

Waterfront cottage on waters edge recently remodeled and new to the rental market. Cottage is nicely decorated and has everything you need. Almost every room in the house has water view. Beside the views, location is another great amenity. You will feel as if you are so far away but yet so convenient to all the shops & restaurants. Thomas Point Beach is 2 minutes drive or bike ride that offers summer festivals, summer activities, sandy beach, and campgrounds.

Imagine waking up to the sound of crashing waves and the ocean breeze? Well…you will get that most days. Sit at the deck with your morning coffee and just admire the views, peace, and tranquility that the cottage and the coast has to offer. Watch boats and kayakers go by. Highly recommend that you bring bikes or a canoe or kayak so you could explore the area on water or on land. Depending on the tides and season, you could fish stripers right off of the rocks or pick mussels and oysters in front of the cottage. Plenty of fresh Mere Point oysters around to be found. We have shuck knifes for your convenience in case you got some or go to the sandy beach and watch clam diggers at work. You could also buy steamers right there to bring home and enjoy at boat price. If you are looking for a Maine vacation experience, this may be it!

We are half hour to Portland, half hour to Boothbay Harbor and 2 hours to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

NO info about operating TV. No info on local restaurants or attractions. Insusfficient towel racks. Slippery rugs. Salad bowl and tongs would be nice. Lovely view and comfortable living.

We couldn’t have had a cozier, more comfortable stay! Our three kiddos had more than enough room in the second bedroom where there was a plethora of worm blankets, so many pillows and blackout shades that allowed them to sleep so well! We kept the blinds wide open so we could see all parts of the beautiful view from our bedroom. The kitchen was great, the living space, clean, and cozy and the location could not have been better! We had everything we needed and more! Laura was such a wonderful host and the check in and check out process could not have been easier!

My wife and I and our pug visited in late July 2026. This property is absolutely fantastic and for the money offers a great value of being able to stay at a true waterfront property in comfort. The place has everything that you need, is very clean, and immediately we felt very comfortable in the property. There are a couple of houses nearby, but the place still felt plenty private and you have excellent private views from large windows looking out at the cove. The location is absolutely fantastic and just a couple of miles from grocery stores and dining options. You can easily explore the entire midcoast region from this property. The property managers are excellent and have great communication and super easy no fuss check-in. The property also has a couple of air conditioners which we did use briefly, but most of the time just the ocean breeze kept things plenty cool for us. There is a kayak and paddles available, which we ran out of time to use, but that would make for a fun and scenic workout for those who are inclined. There is also on site washer and dryer, so you can leave the property with clean clothes and be ready to head home or to the next portion of your trip. We hope to return to this property down the road and I can wholeheartedly recommend it as one of the best VRBO places I’ve stayed in 20 years of staying at numerous places. Five stars, A!

The cottage is in a great location to sit and linger over a cup of coffee in the morning, looking out at the water. It is close to the Maine Maritime Museum and the town of Bath.

Quiet neighborhood of seasonal residences overlooking a beautiful reach of Casco Bay. Close to Orr’s Island, Bailey Island, Harpswell Neck, and Cundy’s Harbor, as well as the attractions of Brunswick. House is comfortable, enjoys fresh sea-breezes, and everything is in good working order. We enjoyed the best rest here in our whole 12-day tour of Midcoast Maine.
