The kitchen is well provisioned, so cooking was smooth and a joy. As a former carriage house, the main accommodation room is airy, light and large, with all you need for a comfortable extended stay.

The only problem was the bathtub has water jets so the sides are higher than usual and I have a mobility problem so I could not use the tub. My fault, I should have asked. I'll remember for next time. Very comfortable cottage!

Many people are happy to have the jetted bath tub in Carriage House Cottage. Especially people with mobility issues who would be unable to get into the hot tub outside; and when the weather is cold. The bath tub is provided with bars on the end of the tub and on the side wall to assist in stepping into the tub. The bottom of the tub is gently textured to prevent slipping. We often get people asking questions about the accessibility of CHC, and are very happy to answer such questions, even if it means the potential guest decides not to book. We are saddened that this easily prevented issue will lower our overall rating. We strive to make each guests stay a wonderful one.

We spent just 2 nights there. We arrived late afternoon, dropped our bags and immediately went out to meet up with an old friend who lives nearby. So, we didn't have time to enjoy the quiet-time the property offered. It's large and spacious with a full, clean kitchen. A large comfortable bed, with a second bed if needed. There's a beautiful covered hot tub just out the front door. It's a great choice, and the owners were lovely people.

26 May 2026, My husband, dog and I enjoyed 1 night stay in Carriage House. Very cute and charming, kitchen well stocked and enjoyed the hot tub, with cocktails on patio with morning coffee on patio too. We took a couple long walks with our dog down to historic downtown, about 4 blocks away and found a great dinner spot and walked back exploring the trails of the giant Ditch, along with finding a great bakery the next morning. Easy parking and easy access to the house. Would definitely stay again; especially welcoming when traveling with a dog, thank you!! Lori
