Gorgeous space, stunning views, surrounded by nature. The perfect place for sanctuary, peace, and fresh air.

This is the smaller side of a "duplexed" property, adjoined to the main house. The two sides can be combined if you want more space and privacy. (contact the host)

(Note: This property is not a good fit for loud groups, as it is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please see rules about strict quiet hours).

The space
Modern and luxurious with loving design touches, the Mountain Sky Sanctuary makes the perfect retreat to connect with self and nature.

This gorgeous open-concept guest suite offers a queen size bed, living area with pull-out sofa bed, reading nook, full bath, and kitchenette. The home has a brand new air conditioning system for maximum comfort on those hot summer days.

The suite has everything you need to settle right in, including your own separate entrance and parking area, TV with streaming channels, high speed internet and air conditioning.

The kitchenette comes with a sink, mini-fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and two-burner electric hot plate.

Your elegant full bathroom with deep soaker tub and skylight invites you to bask in the natural morning light or bathe under the full moon.

Sloped ceilings open up to expansive views of the Sangre de Christo mountain range.

Dogs are welcome (no cats please). If your dog travels with you, please let us know as we have pet amenities available for your use.

Guest access
You will have access to the private guest suite and outdoor area by the suite entrance.

Expectations on Amenities:

Unlike most homes in this mountain area, this property DOES have air conditioning. But if you prefer to enjoy the mountain climate with open windows, there are portable fans for your comfort.

Spiral Ladder:
The loft is accessed by a spiral ladder which is not ideal for children or those who are uncomfortable with non-conforming stairs.

Noise:
We ask guests to respect quiet hours after 10 pm both inside and outside. Noise travels and we want to keep our neighbors happy so we can continue to make this space available for guests like you!

Sweet spot

Quiet and clean, just the right size for me on a solo retreat. Highly recommend. Couple slight bits of feedback- arriving at night, the specific parking space for the vrbo rental unit was hard to find. I didn't see the signage until the next morning. Also, I texted the property manager at one point with an issue and did not receive a reply. But was able to sort the issue out on my own. Would like to have heard back from her though.

This is a sweet property in quiet Baca Grande. It was clean and comfortable and perfect for my one night stay. The renters in the main house were considerate and followed the quiet hours protocols.

Thoughts

Bathroom could use plastic drink glasses to avoid cement floor Closet has no room with all the boxes in it, no hanger. Picnic table outside would be lovely. I put a map in back of the black notebook. You could always include more.

You feel the peace of this home the minute you walk through the door. There are amazing views of the majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains and enveloping juniper trees. Once the sun sets and the sky is clear, you can see the most magnificent bright stars. This is the perfect place for sanctuary, peace, and fresh air.

What makes this property unique

Crestone is a natural place for retreat and there are numerous retreat centers representing various world religions and meditation practices. By day you can enjoy gorgeous nature hikes with views of the majestic peaks and endless valley. It's a starting point for Crestone Peak, a challenging Colorado 14er in the majestical Sangre de Christo Mountain range. Crestone is a dark sky community, making the stars at night worth the trip alone. The town itself has an small organic grocery, a few restaurants, a cafe music venue, an art gallery and a few consignment and gift shops.
