Very lovely spot! One of the very best rental we have stayed in. Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, lots of kitchen needs. Very convenient location. We will definitely be back.
It was a beautiful place with great kitchen, bed and fireplace. Only drawback was it was close to the train line which shook the house when the train went by. Also did not truly have 2 bedrooms; a full bedroom and a half bedroom with twin bed. Would work well for couple traveling with a child. Very nice and responsive owners.
This home is a cozy getaway in an excellent location.
Historic Wickford Village is just down the road. There are excellent restaurants in nearby Warwick, and any shopping you need to do is nearby from box stores to antique shops.
We loved this place. In fact I booked it for July and December. It is just as described, immaculate and meticulously renovated. Clean with everything you need. The train was a Beautiful Song as Neil Diamond describes. It is close to beaches and dining. Heidi and Ric do a great job as owners.
Everything one could possibly need is in this charming, spotless house. Its location within 25 minutes to an hour to attractions and beaches is a bonus. It's nice to walk to the commuter train to visit Boston without the hassles of parking there
Had a great weekend stay at Heidi’s little laneway/carriage-type house. The space is well designed, clean, comfortable and well appointed (as described). Check in and out were straightforward and Heidi was great in communicating. The trains are definitely a “feature” but nothing that bothered us. Thanks Heidi!
Quaint and very clean. My wife and I got a kick out of the occasional trains zooming by and feeling the vibrations sent through the house. Enjoyed our stay and looking forward to returning next year.
The house is well kept and very clean. Although next to fast passing train, it did not present any problem. Close to shopping/grocery stores. Would stay there again in the future.
Immaculate and comfortable new home with everything needed for a weekend away. Heidi and Rick were kind and responsive. Train themed decorations were a funny touch and matched the frequent train that passed by close to the house - but it was not too much of a bother.
This was the perfect place for a long weekend! The house is beautiful and comfortable! It was stocked with everything we needed: kitchen supplies, toiletries, extra towels, and blankets. It was cool hearing the trains go by but it never happened too late at night! The host was available for everything we needed and was very kind and helpful! All the thought and care put into the Wickford Junction House made it feel like home for the weekend!
Stayed at the Wickford Junction home for move in at URI. Home was very clean, and close proximity to stores and things to do. Very clean home and recently updated.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Beautiful home, horrible location
This place was beautiful on the inside, just like pictures, immaculate. However, it is located directly next to the train tracks which should have been mentioned in the listing. The entire house SHAKES like an earthquake is happening every time the train goes by. It is so loud and so rattling, goes until approximately 11:30pm and starts around 6am. Makes for not great sleep which was the only thing I needed the home for.
The decor reflects the old railroad junction location. It's clever and appropriate. The house is cute as a button and well-appointed. Bedroom is upstairs, so not handicap accessible. Close to Newport and all its attractions. Easy load in and out. Recommended.
Wow! What a lovely getaway from our daily life. This house has all of the amenities of home (and then some). The house is exactly as described and as pictured. Comfortable beds and that clawfoot tub is what dreams are made of! We were a little concerned by the train being so close, but it was absolutely no problem! The moment you heard it coming it was already gone, so no inconvenience here! We loved how close it was to town while feeling like it was a little out of the way. It’s very central to the shopping and a pleasant drive to Newport and the beach. The host communicated everything thoroughly. We will definitely choose this place for our next stay in Rhode Island!
This place was perfect for me. It was absolutely adorable and so bright and cheery! It had everything I needed (and more). There was plenty of space, the property was quiet and private (and had lots of birds and butterflies). It had everything that was mentioned in the description. I couldn't have been more pleased. It was also within a central location for driving to all of the major attractions (Jamestown, Newport, Providence). After a long day of sightseeing or beachgoing, I was able to come home and relax and have a quiet evening.
The host also provided me with the information I needed prior to my stay. And thanks to another reviewer, I was able to pick up food items at Dave's Marketplace. I was very pleased with my stay. I highly recommend this rental.
This is one of the nicer home rentals that we've stayed in, and we rented a lot around the world. No matter what room you're in, you are surrounded by beautiful craftsmanship and design. Of course, it was cleaner than clean and stocked with plenty of linens for kitchen and bedroom. The half bath downstairs was convenient with the full bath and clawfoot tub upstairs. Everything is modern and yet, full of character. The location was perfect for us being 30 minutes from Providence and 30 minutes from Newport. Lots of shopping and eating opportunities just down the road in historic Wickford or up the road at Walmart, CVS, and restaurants. We wish we had discovered Dave's our first day for a huge selection of heat and eat entrees. We got a kick out of being next to the train tracks. They mostly zoom through like a fast wind that lasts maybe 3 seconds (I counted). If they went through at night, we didn't hear them, or we were sleeping too soundly in the comfortable bed. The host was super responsive to everything. There was not one thing we could complain about, and we would definitely stay here again.
