Nestled on a hillside in the mountain community of San Josecito, Villa de Claris is the perfect respite from the busy world outside, Surrounded by jungle with an ocean viewThe Costa Rican mid-century modern design features walls of glass that take in the expansive view from every room in the house. The open living area features stylish modern furnishings, a large chef’s kitchen, wet bar, breakfast bar and ample space for dining, entertaining and relaxing. The natural stone floors flow throughout and around the house seamlessly connecting the outdoor living spaces.

As a special feature of this house is the private access to the amazing Ballena beach. The beach is 3 miles long surrounded by jungle and an amazing view of the three sisters and Ballena rock formations. All of our guests have raved about this beach as most likely you will only see a few other people on the entire beach. This property also includes a private access point to the Ballena National Park beach with free parking.  This part of the beach rarely has more than one or two other people, so it is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy perfect waves and a spectacular sunset on the beach.  We will provide tickets for you at the regular park price of $6.00 per adult, kids under 11 are free.

The house features 2 master bedroom suites, with ensuite bathrooms and stone framed glass showers. Open the glass shower doors and you can hear the sounds of the jungle and the waterfall below. Each bedroom contains a shelved walk-in closet, large custom vanity with backlit bath mirror and loads of storage.

Outside the house there is a large, salt water infinity pool with covered outdoor seating, an outdoor teak kitchen with large weber gas grill, jungle side hammock, outdoor beach shower and a hilltop palapa with TRX workout equipment creating the perfect space for working out, yoga or dining.

Located just 200 meters off a paved road, the house has a gated drive and onsite care taker.

While at the house, take advantage of the many things to do right in the neighborhood. Walk the rivers and waterfalls at Rancho DiAndrew, take in some bird watching at Oro Verde, tour the coffee plantation at Café Don Emilio, the waterfalls at Santa Lucia, horseback riding at Rancho La Merced, they are all in the neighborhood less than a 10 minute drive (on a paved road). And then there are the many and varied beaches that run along the coast between Dominical and Ojochal that are all easily accessible from this lovely spot.
