Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. It was an excellent location with beach access that was basically private. Very few people even on days when the public beach was super packed. The resort had umbrellas and wagons for use and it was only a few steps from our room to the beach!

The bed pictured in the details is not correct. Blanket had stain(photo attached) It was a joke. I think inflate-able mattress would have been an improvement. There was no support and when we laid down the bed basically folded into a V shape. We suffered through 1 night of the 4 booked. Got email from manager day after we left. No reply after with resolution or re-fund. There was a blood stain on blanket which i assume was from past guest as the frame corners were very sharp.

We loved everything about Silver Sands. The gentleman at the front office was extremely nice, helpful. Short walk onto the sand, beach chairs all set up on beach, umbrellas convenient to take, faucet to rinse feet after. The beach was quaint….not a lot of people, no crowds. Gorgeous sunsets.

I was a little nervous when I saw some of the recent reviews saying the room wasn’t clean, but honestly this place was so nice! It’s not a brand new resort or anything, but if you’re just looking for a relaxing stay at the beach, this place is perfect! One review said there was mold in the shower, there’s not…the grout is just a little discolored and older, but it’s perfectly fine. I will definitely go back and rebook this resort again someday. The pool was really nice and I love that they provide beach chairs, umbrellas, pool noodles, etc., it made relaxing by the water so much more comfortable!

We've stayed at Silver Sands many, many times. This was the first time we rented the "motel room", which was ok, but I would not to that again! We normally rent a one bedroom unit, which is always perfect. But because we booked so late everything else was rented. But would highly recommend Silver Sands. Always totally satisfied.

Lovely place, well situated. But needs to be deep cleaned.

The place was small, but perfect for us, the bathroom had mold in the shower and around the sink. I contacted the office and they told me to get some bleach and clean it myself, and that should take care of it. Will never stay there again.

245A was a nice size room for us. The shower and microwave were dirty. The shower head had hardly any pressure. The first morning we made coffee there was still coffee in it from the previous person.

Longboat Key Vacay

The location was beautiful. Very peaceful and relaxing. The room....not so much. It was in desperate need if deep cleaning. It was not at all like the listing. There was a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and fridge. The microwave was badly rusted so we didn't use it. Coffee maker was great, but they only provided 1 coffee mug. The shower had mold and could have been cleaned better. The place was dusty. We were provided a wisk broom and dustpan from the dollar store to sweep up tracked in sand....who wants to bend over and get on their knees to sweep the floor. Also the listing showed a small bar table with 2 bar stools to eat at....which was not in this room. There was absolutely no place to sit to eat or have coffee except on the bed. We went to Walmart and purchased to camping chairs so we could sit. The property itself is beautiful but the room sucked. We ended up leaving a day early.
