RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #249 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

We loved the direct access to the beach. The unit was nice and clean. New appliances in the kitchen. The couch could use an upgrade. The cushions are very small and its difficult for adults to sit on it comfortably. We loved the massage recliner.

Rx for stress free 4 days

Very clean, wonderful refurbished from last years hurricane, comfortable beds and plenty of linens.As a local but 20 miles East of the beach this is my best option for a calm peaceful beach few days.

Fantastic location

Wonderful property for a beach trip! Beds were comfortable and condo was clean with plenty of towels. Location was perfect! View of the Gulf and able to walk right out to the beach was perfect.

Everything you need with a great view

This unit had everything a family could need for a stay in the most wonderful part of the island. Amazing views, centrally located, quiet resort. Would definitely go back!

Great spot on the beach

We have an active five year old and we loved this place. The beach out the front and the pool out the side. We loved having a kitchen to save on going out to eat all the time.

Perfect location.

Silver Sands was the prefect location. The condo we had was a few steps from the beach. It was well equipped and all you need for a couple weeks.

We got the room on the beach with our own private access and it was amazing. Room was beautiful, pictures don’t do it justice. Staff was great and the parking was perfect. Excellent vacation. Wonderful site and condo. Website said housekeeping daily but they do not offer that anymore. Kitchen utensils and plates sparce. Had 7 in our party only 5 plates.

Excellent location, right on the beach. Comfortable beds and ambient lighting. Excellent air con.

Lovely property in an excellent position for beach and pool. Kids had a great time. Any problems were sorted quickly - the toaster didn’t work and was replaced immediately. I would have liked more plates as had to wash up rather than use the dishwasher being a family of 6.

Nice place for a competitive price

Pros: - Location of our unit was right on the beach. - Umbrellas and chairs provided. - Beach was not busy in mid June. - Pool was nice. - AC was incredible. Cons: - I realize what goes with being so close to the water but it could have used a bleaching in the bathroom to get rid of the moldy corners. - Wifi wasn't that good. Overall I'd stay there again

Love the beach, condo in need of TLC

The beach, pool, and common areas were fabulous. The condo is in much need of TLC. My elderly parents and kids couldnt open the sliding glass door because it is rusted and wont stay in the track. Main bathroom has a rusty tub and molded tile. The dishwasher leaked and the condo is not well equiped to use the kitchen. For the price we expected a more updated condo. As native Floridians we understand recovering from hurricanes, but some of the issues are easily fixable. The unit also needs a vacuum for guests to clean. The unit was dirty upon arrival. We had to clean bacon off the counters and floor.

Step out the back door to your toes in the sand

This is the third annual beach trip for me and 3 of my girlfriends. Best set up we have seen. Less than 100 steps to a beach that is surrounded by private residences resulting in this property pretty much having a long stretch of beach to itself. NICE, sturdy lounge chairs are kept on the beach - no dragging them between your unit and the beach. Unit is small, but slept 4 of us easily. Full kitchen - pretty well-equipped. Pool are was nice - very clean - gas grills available for use. Office offers beach umbrellas for use at no charge. Wagons are available for unpacking/packing your vehicle. Definitely recommend!!!

Charming view, awesome sunsets!

This property is like a hidden gem, with gorgeous views and the small screened in lanai worked out great for us. Literally on the beach! The pool area was nice, and overall the condos were very quiet (but no one was staying above us during our stay, which is possible). The property manager was excellent, and willing to assist with any request (we had plenty of towels, soap, paper towels & toilet paper, which was a pleasant surprise). I would definitely recommend this place, and stay again if in the area. If you want to walk everywhere, this isn't a good choice, but a nice town center is a few miles down the road. The property is older, but it's well maintained. If I were to recommend anything, it would be to enhance the washer/dryer units. They are okay, but are showing some wear. We stayed several places while in FL and this one was our favorite!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The proximity to the beach is ideal. It's literally just steps out the "back" door to the beach. We were disappointed that the area was experiencing a red tide when we were there. We were looking forward to long walks on the beach, but mother nature prevented us from doing that. There were dead fish all over the beach and the smell of the fish and the red tide seemed unbearable at times. Of course, the owners/managers were not able to control this. We were still able to enjoy the area despite the beach conditions and odors being less than ideal. The property provided most everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and enough starter supplies (TP, paper towels, coffee filters, dish detergent, soap, shampoo, and lotion). Renters need to supply ALL their own pantry items, including salt/pepper. The king-size bed was very firm. The living room furniture is "tired," but it was sufficient for our short stay. There are enough dishes for 4-6 people. Although the property isn't in perfect condition, the cleanliness was satisfactory. There are lots of good restaurants in the area. There are also ssome areas for shopping. The best part of staying here is that it is peaceful and not crowded. We hope to return sometime when there is not a red tide.
