Charming home in a sleepy little town. You can tell the owners have put a lot of love into this place. It even comes with extremely nice neighbors, free of charge. So glad we got to experience the home and the beauty of the surrounding areas
Cute and quiet house with nice bedrooms. I appreciated the separate minisplits so that we could have different temperatures. I was also glad there was a convenient place to stash my bike.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you found the house comfortable and enjoyed your stay. We welcome you back anytime.
Back stairs are very steep, not friendly if anyone in your group has any physical limitations. Structure seemed to have some potential foundation issues or foundation settling, as evidenced by large cracks in the breakfast nook walls and slanting of the floor/structure. We rented for 2 nights but stayed only 1 night due to this and some staining on the bedding and towels.

Thank you for the feedback. The house is over 100-years old and has been undergoing renovations, slowly but surely. The hardwood floors and heating/cooling system were recently updated. We have also completed structural work in the basement which resulted in some cracks in the back sunporch, as seen in your photos. The back porch stairs are mentioned in the listing description. The front door allows for first floor entry, if needed by some guests.
If you had communicated your concerns before departure, I hope I could have resolved any questions you had.
We enjoyed the local bar & grill for dinner. Great burgers and even had gluten-free buns!

Comforter in second room was filthy with blood and other stain on inside and room was too small for bed. No response when called about the air conditioning and heating that did not work and windows painted shut

Thank you for the feedback. We care about every guest’s experience and will work on the issues you mention.
On the third night of your 4 night stay, I received your message regarding the air conditioner not working in one bedroom and I responded within 90 mins. I asked for additional information to assist in troubleshooting. I received your reply late that night, about 12 hours prior to check out. It’s possible that, given outdoor temperatures ranged from 55-65 degrees F, the temperature inside the house did not trigger the thermostat to run cool air.
Our goal is to provide a comfortable stay. We have tried to provide useful information in our listing to help guests determine if this house will meet your needs and expectations during a stay in Mullan. The listing explains the home is over 100 years old, and we have updated a number of features in the house, including new minisplit heating and cooling. We understand this home may not be a good fit for every visitor.
We had a great stay and didn't have to go anywhere for fire-work shows, the nice people of Mullan don't mess around! This place was right in the middle of the fun.
House was clean and well decorated. They had most of the items on-hand needed to make our stay easy. Big props for a wide selection of spices in the cupboard! Could have used some sandwich bags and or cling wrap. If they were there, we couldn’t find them, but we also didn’t ask the host and just made do with what we had available. Bathroom had plenty of hot water for 4 adults to shower. Bath tub could use a little traction on the bottom of the basin to help prevent slipping. Also, we couldn’t find bar soap and only an Old Spice 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner for hair. Other than those few minor quibbles, the kitchen had all the stuff we needed for cooking, beds were comfortable, heat and cooling was perfect and ample space for the 4 adults and two kids in our party. Watch out for the grouchy neighbor if you park on the street opposite the driveway, though! Not a reflection on the property, but a warning for those arriving with more than one vehicle.

It was a wonderful surprise on how well this fit our needs. Clean and well maintained. Easy access to I90 and a short distance to the Hiawatha Trail. Would definitely stay here again.

This adorable home away from home was perfect for our little family. The beds were so comfy it felt like sleeping on a cloud. Communication was great from start to finish. We will recommend this home for our friends and family.
