About this property

Central Saguaro Studio - Private Guest Suite near U of A!

Located in the historic and central Blenman Elm neighborhood, this cheery and bright attached guest suite studio has a private entrance and 1 reserved parking space. It shares one wall with the main home. The house is situated on a small, quiet side street, but close to all the action. Conveniently located a mere 1.5 miles from the University of Arizona campus and 0.4 miles from the upscale Arizona Inn. Enjoy a stylish mid-century experience at this centrally-located casita.

This attached private guest suite (one shared wall) has a separate exterior patio entrance (if rented with front 2:1 house, interior access is provided, otherwise, double doors with locks secure both sides). Entrance information will be provided upon booking. Check out the front house here and rent both! https://www.vrbo.com/3210991?unitId=3784086

Walk to so many great restaurants/coffee shops including Culinary Dropout, Postino, Snooze Eatery, Nekter Juice Bar, Lemon Shark Poke and Dante’s Fire, and just a little further to Mojo, Raging Sage Coffee Roasters and so many more.

Wander through the nearby neighborhoods of Sam Hughes and El Encanto with beautiful Spanish style homes. Just a 20-30 minute drive to the Catalina foothills, Saguaro National Park hiking and desert spa resorts. A perfect place to both relax and explore beautiful central Tucson.

Please note the backyard is a shared communal space with guests in the front home who have priority over use of BBQ grill and patio. The other areas in yard for lounging are first come, first serve but please communicate with the front home guests so no conflicts arise.

A studio guest is allowed a max of 2 additional dayrime/eve visitors to the yard area (parking on nearby side streets only, not in driveway or street in front of home which is too narrow). Noise ordinances and quiet times (10pm -8am) must be respected due to proximity of full-time neighbors.

Only the back studio guest may park in the side driveway in front of gate. Any additional vehicle must be parked on adjoining side street (no same street or additional driveway parking).

For safety, the backyard gate must remain closed and locked at all times. Only the back studio guest will have the code for the lock to enter/exit. Front home guests must enter patio/yard from inside the home (back door). Doors should be locked when not home and at night.

This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING/420 home. We ask that you do not smoke/vape outside OR inside the home or near any open door or window. There may be a fine of up to $250 for violation of smoking plus any applicable cleaning fees.

Any parties or loud noise will not be tolerated. If the owner is fined for any noise ordinance violation caused by the guest, it will be the responsibility of the guest to pay these fines and/or this may be cause for immediate eviction with no refund.

NO weapons are allowed on property

NO fire hazards allowed on property.

Gate lock
Gate lock was difficult to maneuver especially at night because no outdoor light at time of stay. During the day also difficult because of the small access to it. Only thing that was frustrating. Otherwise all good.

About the host

Host profile image
As an avid traveler, I want your experience in my home or others that I co-host to be as enjoyable as possible, and I also rely upon guests to communicate issues or needs so I can address them promptly.

I am young at heart and love to travel internationally on a budget - to me it's about the cultural experience and meeting new people, not about the room where I'm sleeping, as long as it's clean and comfortable. I've been fortunate to get to Asia/SE Asia, Indonesia, Europe, South America, Africa and Australia/NZ, (over 50 countries, 46 states, and counting, some more than once) but with many more places around the globe to go (Sagittarius in me).

I always enjoy making new friends and having new experiences. I have been on safari, hangglided, like trapeze, and was lucky enough to have done stunts in a bi-plane over the Pacific Ocean with a pilot friend. I am an AFI, GW and TBird alum, so let me know if you are too!

I enjoy music, dance, movies, F1 racing, reading, boxing, anything with animals, and outdoor activities like hiking, climbing and biking. I have done a Habitat for Humanity build in Egypt, was fortunate enough to hike to the basecamp (18k feet) of Mt. Everest after volunteering at an orphanage in Nepal, have volunteered with refugee children in Greece and did a fundraising trek in the Italian Dolomites and volunteered with refugee single moms and kids in Fall 2021 amongst other cool adventures. Tell me more about you...
