Welcome to Bear House Catskills, a private 3-bedroom retreat surrounded by woods with a spring-fed pond, seasonal pool, year-round hot tub, fire pit, fireplace, and game room. Dogs stay free. On-site fishing, nearby skiing.

The house sleeps up to 8 adults and is a great fit for family trips, weekends with friends and relaxed Catskills getaways.

LOCATION

Bear House Catskills is set in a peaceful, rural part of the Catskills where the focus is privacy, nature and space to spread out.

We’re well positioned for exploring Hudson, Catskill, Windham, Hunter, Kaaterskill Falls and the surrounding Catskills.

THE HOUSE

The primary bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third has two queen beds.

Downstairs, the basement is a relaxed hangout and game space with a queen daybed, ping pong and darts.

The main living area has an indoor fireplace and plenty of room to gather, while the well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook and eat together.

OUTSIDE

Spend summer days by the seasonal outdoor pool, typically open from late May through late September or early October, weather permitting.

The hot tub is available year-round.

Our private spring-fed pond is available for catch-and-release fishing. The pond is not suitable for swimming or ice skating.

You’ll also find a fire pit, propane Weber grill, picnic table and hammock for afternoons and evenings outside.

GAME ROOM + EXTRAS

The basement game room has ping pong and darts, and the house also includes board games, a record player and vinyl collection.

We provide free weights and yoga mats, along with two workspaces, Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, EV charger, Pack ’n Plays and a high chair.

You are welcome to enjoy our hot tub year round and the pool during the summer but you do at your own risk. No swimming or skating on the pond.

Due to the host’s allergies, cats are not allowed in the property. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Cairo House

This property was perfect. The house was exceptionally clean and inviting. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, the hot tub and ping pong table. The property was centrally located so we were able to enjoy days in Hudson and Windham. It was a great way to ring in the New Year with family and friends.

Laid Back Girl’s Weekend

This was the perfect house for our girls weekend. The house was cozy, and we all had space to curl up with a good book in the living room. Downstairs had a plethora of fun board games- and the hosts were attentive and quick to respond. Would highly recommend.

A Truly Cozy Getaway with Friends

This place is such a great value—beautiful, private, well thought out. Upon entering the cozy home, we were greeted with warmth and comfort. House has everything you need to make you feel at home. Birthday weekend

Mile stone weekend for birthdays. We had a wonderful time in Hudson for the day. Which was an extremely hot day!! It was wonderful to come to the house sit on the deck and enjoy the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook. Wonderful time. Thank you.

This place was amazing, meeting all our expectations and then some. Immaculate, high-ceilinged, comfortable open space. Each BR was most attractive and well equipped, mattresses, linens, pillows, etc. The exterior area was expansive. Great pool (4 feet deep) with lots of toys provided, hot tub and fire pit. The pond was an added bonus which our 10 yo grandson loved fishing everyday. Plenty of catch and release wdie mouth bass. Many things nearby including golf, Windham, the Irish Alps in East Durham (Furlong's Pub should not be missed). We highly recommend this rental.
