I needed a quiet weekend away after a year of caregiving without a break. My husband and I found Tracy's cabins online. She helped me get the reservations taken care of. The Aoudad cabin was so perfect! Quiet, privacy and beauty all in one. The longhorns slept in front of our deck at night.We would definitely stay again

Not new but very well maintained. Fun paths around complex of cabins. Lots of games to play! Not thrilled about property on other side of fence. Collapsed shed and cow crap mostly. The longhorn cattle sleeping next to cabin was very cool though. All in all, well worth it!!

Cabin is only 1.5 miles from Palo Duro Park entrance. It was nice to take a shower after a long day of hiking and get good sleep for the next day. Easy to return to the park for sunset views.

My family had a great time staying in the Aoudad cabin. It was very clean. The host was wonderful and always answered any questions I had right away. The cabin was very comfortable and decorated very cute. The outside was beautiful. There were flowers outside of our cabin and butterflies all around it. It looked like a fairy garden. There were also Longhorns right outside of the cabin. Just up the road from Palo Duro Canyon State Park. It was a great place to stay!

The host was very helpful with all questions. Which I did not have many, as she was wonderful at anticipating and answering before being asked. Her direction was followed by pictures. So very easy to find. The cabin was spotless, very comfortable. The grounds are very well kept, with tons of outdoor games throughout. All in all very pleasant stay

Perfect location if your plans include multiple visits to Palo Duro Canyon. This location includes the perfect sunrise viewing location right from the porch!! It also includes the Sad Monkey right next door where they have a food counter, lite grocery items, drinks, etc. You just don't have to venture far off to have your needs met when staying in this cabin. Would definately recommend.

The Cabin was charming, clean and a very good value. The wide long ranch land view out back was lovely, but was marred by the neighbor’s in-your-face caved in shed and cow manure that produced flies.

The property as a whole is nice. Great location, just down the road from the State Park entrance. The property is well lit at night. This particular cabin, The Aoudad, I do not recommend. The cabin was clean on the inside, comfy bed, all the necessary kitchen items provided. The outside of this cabin, however, needs a lot of TLC. The patio has a cover with broken lattice on top. No protection from sun or rain. The tether-ball play area is right in front of the deck. We had very little quiet time with kids playing until dark. The internet is practically nonexistent. Can't hardly watch TV and if your phone does connect, as soon as you go outside it disconnects. Not sure if this is just at this cabin or the whole property. But definitely need to improve the wi-fi. The host, Tracy, is excellent with communication. Quickly responds to messages. I do recommend The Shepard Family Cabins, just not NOT this cabin, The Aoudad Cabin. All the other cabins looked much nicer and cleaner.
