Independence Hall is centrally located in Seabrook, with restaurants, shops, bike rentals, and the beach all a five minute walk away.

You’ll find open space and natural light in every corner: high ceilings, large doorways, French doors, and many windows. The major living, dining and kitchen areas all flow into each other and onto the generous outdoor deck areas. The wraparound porches feature comfortable swings and Adirondack chairs.

The expansive entryway welcomes guests with a stylish mix of modern and vintage furniture and art. To the right, a bright and cozy reading room holds comfortable couches and a selection of books and Apple TV. On the left side, the entryway opens onto a casual yet sophisticated dining room. The dining room seats eight and connects to the patio, where a teak dining table and sturdy outdoor chairs await al fresco dinners.

The large living room has a 70" flat screen TV with Apple TV, a DVD player, wood burning fireplace with raised hearth, large sectional couch, plus comfortable chairs and ottomans. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen, with stainless steel appliances, marble countertops and an expansive island with bar stools makes it a great place to entertain. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and items such as a waffle iron, juicer, hand-mixer, and blender.

Up the large staircase onto the second floor, you’ll see window doors leading out onto a patio overlooking Merriweather Square. On the left side is a corner queen bedroom with large south/west-facing windows that maximize natural light. To the right is another peaceful bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Further down the hallway you’ll find a large bathroom with a pebbled shower, farmhouse sink, and antique lockers for storing your essentials. At the east end you’ll find a large primary king suite, complete with TV, large walk-in closet and bathroom including pebbled floor, a deep cast iron bathtub, and two standing sinks. Connected to the bedroom is a children’s bedroom with two twin beds and a TV.

The third floor is perfect for a group of children, teenagers, or young adults and it sleeps 6-8 comfortably. There is a full bathroom and two sets of roomy bunks, each with reading lights. The bunk room is equipped with a TV, along with DVDs, Xbox and Wii, with 4 controllers and numerous games. Another bedroom on the third floor has one Queen sized bed.

Directly next door to the main house and up a private flight of stairs is the Independence Hall Carriage House. This serene suite sleeps 4 guests, has a full bathroom and kitchenette, and is perfect for folks who wish to have a little more privacy. Independence Hall
Large family reserved this for a week long vacation. Overall it was a nice house with a lot of rooms/bedrooms. Kitchen was adequately stocked, but with older and very random cookware, but it worked. Wifi was available but not reliable. Entertainment system was not set up properly with remotes old and damaged. The fridge also leaked the entire week we were there despite multiple calls to the hospitality desk. Overall we had a great time and the house and surrounding area was a lot of fun. The 3rd floor had a fun kid seating area, had a few miscellaneous toys and came stocked with plenty of kiddo movies.

Family Ocean Vacation Aug. 2019
Seabrook is an amazing resort town. Very family oriented. Ocean beach, pool, parks, playgrounds, trails, and fire pits. Summer concert series to boot! Also, dog friendly. They have thought of everything. We stayed in Independence Hall, one of the many seaside cottages named and outfitted for your convenience. We loved the location-just a short walk to town, beach and all resort amenities. Plenty to keep your children and adults happy campers. Town has coffee shop, bakery, pet store, pizza place, toy store, clothing/specialty stores, book store, ice cream/candy store, restaurant and pub. Even a gym for your vacation workout. I do recommend you take hotdog/marshmallow sticks, playground equipment like balls, and pool aids like life jackets for young children, and beach toys for tots. Our cottage was well-equipped with games, but you can’t go wrong bringing family favorites. Hoping you enjoy Seabrook as much as we did!
