Spectacular View - Beachfront Condo -12th Floor -Playa Azul #1

Location: Luquillo, Puerto Rico, is a quaint and tranquil little seaside village, uniquely located 40 min. from San Juan International Airport, 10 minutes from El Yunque Rainforest entrance and 10 minutes from Fajardo.

Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or spending quality fun times with your family, our condo is the perfect place.

Of the 3 buildings in the Playa Azul complex, building #1 is the only one located right on the beachfront. This beautiful apartment, is located on the 12th floor of Playa Azul, building #1, with an amazing panoramic view of the ocean, Throughout the apartment, floor-to-ceiling windows provide a cool ocean breeze and breathtaking views. Ceiling fans keep the apartment cool.

The apartment is well furnished. Two air-conditioned bedrooms overlook the ocean, each with full private bath and walk-in closet. (One has a queen size bed and French doors opening onto the balcony; the other has 2 queen beds and a spectacular view of the ocean). A well equipped kitchen includes a 4 burner stove, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, coffee pot, a countertop oven and a microwave oven. The living room has a 60-inch flat screen Smart HD-TV with cable and wireless Internet connections.

Amenities on the premises include: Private parking lot, a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts. There is full security at the front gate and lobby. Amigo Supermarket, Walgreens Pharmacy and a Banco Popular ATM are available within walking distance.

Located in front of the Building #1, the Playa Azul Beach is not usually crowded and the sand is clean. Beach chairs and a small cooler are available in the wood box on the balcony for your use. If you prefer a beach with calmer waters, including amenities and lifeguards, the famous Balneario Monserate Luquillo Beach is only a few minutes drive from Playa Azul. A bit further, are the famous 'Kioskos of Luquillo' where you can delight in good local cuisine. Otherwise, you can drive to more upscale restaurants in the area.

The apartment has a guest book with suggestions of where to eat and activities available in the area. You can hike to beautiful waterfalls or zip-line in the rain forest, book a snorkel trip, kayak on the bioluminescent bay, scuba dive in Fajardo, rent jet skis at Luquillo Beach, go horseback riding or ride go carts at Hacienda Caraballi, go to the casino at a nearby resort hotel or take day-trips to Old San Juan, Ponce or the Camuy Caves.

*** Guests should be aware that the Playa Azul Beach, in front of the building, has strong currents and ripe tides and while people frequently swim there, caution is strongly advised with different color flags on the beach.

*** ALSO, we strongly recommend NOT to leave small children unattended on the condo balcony.

Our family of 5 loved our stay at this condo in Luquillo. It was clean and the area is safe for families. The balcony is amazing to watch the beach, read, or eat family meals on. Condo had everything we needed for the beach and cooking. Close to a couple pharmacies and Amigo grocery store. The beach is beautiful and the drive is short to calm beaches for swimming.

We enjoyed the 4 nights we stayed at the condo. The view from the balcony was wonderful. The weather was so nice that we kept the windows open 24 hours a day and there was a nice breeze and the awesome sound of the ocean all the time. The condo is very well appointed. It has a fully equiped kitchen and a washer and dryer. Everything you needed was provided. There was a hair dryer for both bathrooms, iron, ironing board, beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers. The balcony and 4 comfortable chairs and a dining table. The beds and living space were comfortable and their were lots of towels. There were fans in every space. The property manager was responsive. There was a slight misunderstanding and we had to wait a bit to get in, but not a big inconvenience. The only thing we didn't like was that there is only one set of keys and keys are needed to get to the beach and back and to get into the building. This complicated things somewhat when people wanted to come and go on different schedules. The TV worked well and got adequate channels and apps. There were books and detailed instructions were available. Would highly recommend this place.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property was right on the beach — we could hear the waves from the balcony and walk straight onto the sand in seconds. Everything was clean, well-kept, and stocked with thoughtful touches like beach chairs and coolers, which made our beach days so easy and enjoyable. Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Playa Azul since 1998 for family vacations. We did not want a resort atmosphere and chose Playa Azul because it is a quaint, low key beach village with nice beaches.

It is very accessible to nearby points of interests, such as The Rainforest and various activities in Fajardo, including the Bioluminescent Bay.

It is within a reasonable driving distance to the airport and San Juan. (40 min.)

It is within walking distance to the beach.

What makes this property unique

Luquillo is a quaint and tranquil little seaside town, uniquely located 30 min. from San Juan International Airport, 10 minutes to El Yunque Rainforest and 10 minutes from Fajardo.

There is a most beautiful walk on the beach, between Playa Azul and Balneario Monserat Luquillo Beach.
