About this property

Cozy Mountain Home: Perfect for Families, Groups and Pets

This renovated 3-story house is just a few minutes' walk to ski on location. We will also send you a guide to the area with things to do. The house is also conveniently located at parking lot level.

The house is set up with the guest in mind! We have a fireplace, 2 smart TVs, Xbox, and a kitchen equipped for cooking, outside grill.

We are family and pet friendly!

The Space
Kitchen
Includes a stove and range, refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee beans and electric bean grinder, electric kettle, instapot, toaster.

The cabinets are stocked with plates, serving bowls, utensils, pots and pans, salt, cooking oil. We also provide paper towels and dishwashing soap.

Living/dining room: Large comfortable couch, balcony, dining table, smart TVs, fireplace. You are welcome to use your existing netflix, HBO, Hulu, and other accounts on our TVs.

Bedrooms:
Top floor bedroom (loft): One Queen bed.
Bottom floor bedroom 1: One Queen bed, smart TV
Bottom floor bedroom 2: Two bunk beds

Bathrooms:
There is a half bathroom on the main floor and a downstairs full bathroom. All bathrooms include soap and toilet paper.

Grill: We have a grill in the patio with grilling tools. We provide the propane tank which we do our best to keep full, but occasionally guests will need to refill them.

Heating: We have heating thermostats located throughout the house, so the temperature can be customized in different rooms.

Cooling: We have air conditioners in the common area and the bedrooms. The ACs will be usable from late May through the end of September.

Parking: You can park 2 cars in front of our houses and additional cars in the overflow lot.

Amenities: Heated pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, indoor and outdoor tennis court, indoor basketball hoop. These amenities are located at the community center at 601 Camelback Rd (5 min walk from the house, or 1 min drive).

There are numerous hiking trails and lakes in PA within a short drive. During the summer we recommend guests checkout Camelbeach, the waterpark next door to us, which is absolutely amazing and perfect for kids, as well as Aquatopia, an indoor water park 5 minute drive from us open all year round. We will send you a guide to the area prior to check in.

Refrain from rearranging the furniture. There will be an additional $50 charge to your account. The pet fee is $30 per night for the first dog and $15 per night for each additional pet. Please do not move the portable AC units, as they are fixed in place and moving them may cause the hoses to disconnect.

A Simple & Safe Stay

The location can’t be beat as it is an easy walk and/or ski to Camelback. The community clubhouse has excellent facilities, and the gated community with security ensures for a safe vacation. The unit itself is basic yet adequate, although there were some items needing repair, such as carpet damage and fraying, an outlet coming loose from wall, a bent wall sconce, wobbly toilet seat and a shaky table. Overall, though, this dog friendly accommodation suited our budget conscious, multigenerational family vacation.

Clean, well-equipped and great location!

Plenty of beds to accommodate 8 of us. Air-conditioning in every room. Grill available for use. Even had board games and a game console! Indoor community pool was a nice plus! Just wish there was a floor length mirror for the teenagers to use lol. Otherwise, stay was simple, no-nonsense and enjoyable!

Beyond disappointing and uncomfortable

These hosts really don’t care about anything. The couches are DISGUSTING. Not “worn” but black from dirt, stained and they smell like mildew. They placed these throws on the cushions to try and cover it but the arm rests and pillows are visibly black from dirt. I wish I could post pictures. The screen door has fallen off the balcony so you can’t keep the door open at all. Your feet/socks turn black from the carpets. The remote in the living room has been taped together and the batteries keep coming out. It takes 5 minutes to turn on the tv and somehow manage to hold batteries in while not blocking the sensor and pressing the buttons. The downstairs bed does not have a real mattress. It’s a light pretend mattress where if you accidentally bump it even a little it moves a foot. It weighs a few pounds max and when you sit or sleep your entire body hits the metal frame. In the same bedroom they are storing a filthy, broken AC in the wooden clothes rack. Then they installed a portable AC and placed it directly next to the head of the bed. They had to move a nightstand. It is extremely loud and so you have that sound literally inches from your head or sweat all night. I contacted them about the remote and the screen door and they told me to use the bedroom remote for the living room. You can’t! They said they would have the manager fix the screen door eventually. Now to be fair, the cleaners did their job. Management is clearly responsible.

This is an unfortunate situation where a guest was attempting to extort a refund and when we refused they wrote an untrue review. In the spirit of being transparent we will address each of the points on the review. The review contains untrue information. Our cleaning team works diligently to thoroughly clean and disinfect the house before each guest's arrival. The carpet and furniture, though not new, are in excellent condition with no dirt or mildew. We have two interchangeable remotes, and two more were purchased the day after your departure. The screen door has been fixed, but sometimes it can come off the tracks if pushed too hard. Each room has a portable AC that can be moved around. While not everyone may share the same opinion, it's disappointing to hear this after your initial positive feedback about the property.
