Such great space for a getaway . We were visiting friends so we didn’t spend a ton of time at the property but would be a great space to escape and unwind !!!! Plenty of living space and the property was beautiful, Our boys enjoyed being greeted by the cute animals on property running to the fence when we drove up to say hello! Like they said in the listing the road was pretty rugged and suv came in handy as it rained during our trip but our kids loved driving in and out , it was a fun adventure for them . Also the host went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay and we are so thankful for their kindness !!!!!
This house and location was nothing but breathtaking. Perfect if you have want a getaway but still close to town and store. We would love to book this place every year.

This cottage and the property was more than we could have imagined. It’s very secluded and the trails, lake and ground are so beautiful and tranquil. We certainly will return. The owners were great to work with.

Great to have you and your family Michelle. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We hope you visit again soon.
I can’t say enough great things about this property! We hosted a baby shower here with roughly 25 people and it was the perfect space and had everything we needed to make the shower a huge success! The kitchen and living area are open and provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out and mingle. All of the guests raved about how adorable the house was! In the evening, we enjoyed a nice walk around the pond and watched the sunset. I wish we had more time to explore the trails and all of the nature that surrounds the cottage. We will definitely be back!
Our stay way wonderful. If you are looking to disconnect and get away this place is perfect. It’s so cute! Five days went way too fast. The only advice to others staying would be the queen bed. Every time you moved it made noise and very soft and lumpy. Everyone has their own preference. They are not joking on the road. Happy we took the truck vs the crossover.
A+ on the kitchen and having what is needed for a comfortable stay.

Hi Terra,
Thank you for your feedback. We're so glad you found the property to be a great place to disconnect and relax. We truly appreciate your compliments on the kitchen and the comfort we strive to offer!
Regarding the bed, we're so sorry to hear about the discomfort. We do try to manage any issues proactively, had we known about it during your stay, we would have been happy to help address it. As we mentioned in our listing, the road conditions can be challenging, and we do our best to communicate that in advance to help guests make the best choice for their travel needs.
We hope you’ll consider staying with us again in the future, we’d love the opportunity to make your next visit a 5 star stay!
Kindly,
Joe and Nayda
House. Was. beautiful. We had an amazing stay in this beautiful, quiet property. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even provided a map of the property with various trails that we were able to check out. We took advantage of the kayaks provided down at the pond that had ducks, geese and turtles and were also able to meet up with the owners to feed the farm animals. We stayed here because we wanted to do something’s in Raleigh/Durham, but didn’t want to stay in the city. In all honesty, you could make this place a destination (or at least plan to do one full day to enjoy all that this place has to offer). Southern Style Farms really has that “retreat feel” where you can just unplug and relax. The house itself it’s immaculately clean, beds are comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. There was also lots of outdoor seating on the huge deck and a fire pit area for s’mores. If we are in this area again, we would rebook in a heartbeat!

Thank you Becky! It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate you taking the time to leave the house so clean and look forward to hosting you again in the future.
We enjoyed our stay with you. I'm not sure, but it seems you may be lovers of the TV show Vacation House Rules. Your house design followed those rules well. I have a few inputs that you may choose to employ. The first and most important is the first step to the basement. It is a little dangerous. You may consider making the landing bigger. Even the railing, drop the floor down even with the first step, increasing the turning area to head down the stairs. One other thought is put a microwave upstairs too. The kitchen is great, but in this modern age, microwaves are a necessity. Our stay was short but the seclusion was awesome. Coffee on the deck with the rabbit was the best. If you can work with your neighbors, maintenance on the entrance will make return customers more plentiful. Thank you again for a beautiful vacation stay and God Bless.
