This is the second time I’ve stayed in this unit and hopefully it won’t be the last. It’s a beautiful space in a great little town with amazing restaurants. The hosts, as usual, were very communicative and helpful. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

We really enjoyed our stay. We have so much family in IL - it was nice to have dinner with a few of them right at our 'home' away from home and not eat out every night. Make sure everyone knows there are a LOT of stairs - so that everyone from the toddler to the 94 yr old that visits knows they are going to 'climb'... :)

We were in town for two granddaughters high school graduations and stayed eight days at the Kildahl House. It is an amazing place to stay with comforts of home. Furnishings were tastefully done, climate easily controlled and the bed was so comfortable. We will be staying here again!

This is the second time we’ve been blessed to stay at Kildahl house for family events. Its an absolutely charming place, do well located by the River and restaurants. I rarely use the word, “curated”, but it fits these beautiful apartments. Every detail was obviously hand picked and hand place; modern in amenities, but still warm and cozy! I have family member who live close by who now want to come and enjoy a weekend here because they were so impressed. The units are beautifully maintained, the communication extremely clear, and the owners are always kind and accommodating!

Beautiful accomodations

Outstanding property, we use VRBO frequently and this is one of the most beautiful accommodations we've stayed in. Beautifully decorated and very clean. We enjoyed West Dundee and the restaurants and pubs on the main street.

This place is a comfortable, modern, and fully equipped apartment set in an historic house in a neighborhood of grand old houses in an historic river town. I loved it and will be back!

Great Getaway

Kildahl House is a comfortable place to stay. It's located in a friendly downtown area. I loved the fresh farmhouse decor. Everything was clean and welcoming. The hosts were very accommodating, as well. I will definitely book another stay.

Perfect in every way! Cleanliness, location, decor and comfort. West Dundee is a delightful little town with a short walk to the Fox River, shopping, dining and the biking/walking trail. Already booked two more stays!

What's old is NEW...

My wife and I planned a last-minute and much-needed getaway. To our surprise, we found this GREAT PROPERTY in our backyard! The rustic old house was remolded to a nice modern look. We are very familiar with the area and the town that this home is in, but we never knew that the town itself offered such very nice lodging, or lodging in general. There are hotels available outside of this downtown area, but you need to drive 15-30 minutes away. This property being in the middle of the downtown area is perfect. Every bit of the owners' description of their property is spot on. The place was very clean, roomy, and accommodating to our weekend getaway needs. There are plenty of spots to go eat and drink. Some good entertainment, if you are lucky like we were, the local theater was hosting a great concert celebrating great music from the 90s. All of this was within walking distance from the house. Excellent communication with the owners from start to finish. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that are looking to plan another trip there with our extended family and rent the whole house out. I highly recommend staying here for anyone looking to get away for a nice weekend or longer stay.
