About this property
BLETCHER GARDEN LOFT - LANCASTER HISTORIC DISTRICT
Built in 1888, the 'Bletcher Garden Loft'is named in honor of Lancaster's Billy Bletcher. Mr. Bletcher brought some of WaltDisney's very firstcaricatures to life bylending hisvoice to 'Pete' in Mickey Mouse and the 'Big Bad Wolf'in theThree Little Pigs animation shorts. The Bletcher Garden Loft isshort walk to Penn Square, the Lancaster Convention Centerand provides easyaccess to the city's best breweries, dining, shops and galleries! The neighborhood is equallyknow for its colonial architecture and mature, tree-lined streets.
The Bletcher Garden Loft was recently restored with tasteful touches across an open and bright layout. The space hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. Recessed lighting, hardwood floors, and high quality linens ensure a good night's rest, while a Smart TV and high speed internet provide travelers the peace of mind of staying connected. The home is filled with light throughout and offers enough space for four to enjoy comfortably, The space is professionally cleaned and cared for, and we work to ensure your experience in staying with us is the absolute very best.
Without giving it all away, we love the way of life and communities that make up Lancaster. The city holds an important role in the birthplace of America. The city is experienceing a renaissance and is once again at a crossroads - The American love story between community and those who reside here is still being written, and we invite you to be a part of it through the lens of our home on Duke Street.
The neighborhood boasts a walk-score of 98, so for those who love an adventure walk - Lancaster is a foot warriors dream!
In addition, Lancaster has a network of bike paths with mindful motorists and clearly marked bike lanes throughout the city. The city is inter-connected by rivers and parks and side alleys that are sure to leave an impression. For those looking to travel by car, you'll appreciate the lack of traffic often found in larger metropolitan cities. If you take a car, be mindful of our local horse carriages and buggies often found traveling in our community and back-country roads.
The home is 420/smoker friendly, but in outside areas only, at least ten feet away from windows and doors.
