Quick weekend for my daughter and admitted student tour at U of I, close to campus. Nice and clean property. Ian was quick to respond when I had any questions!
Our stay was extremely disappointing and frustrating. When we first walked in, we were hit with an overwhelming marijuana smell that was so bad it lingered for the entire 3 days of our stay after multiple fans, air fresheners and airing out with windows and doors open. When I informed the host about it they said the previous owner had trashed the place and they could bring air fresheners, that’s it. There was a cigarette burn hole and hair in the sheets. The toilet didn’t seal properly to the floor and wobbled when you sat on it. The walls and windows were covered in cobwebs and dirt. The kitchen cabinet doors were falling off and one completely came apart in 3 pieces when opened. There were no batteries in the remote so we couldn’t watch TV, the towels were stained, and the air filter light was flashing on the furnace and was filthy and hadn’t been changed in quite some time. No one even bothered to sweep off the sidewalk entrance which was covered in several inches of leaves and a tripping hazard for some of our guests with mobility issues. Overall, it was the worst rental I have ever stayed in.
Toilet was not connected to floor and the water in it ran all the time. There is a hump in the hallway. Cabinet door is falling off. Refrig did nit have handles. Trim missing from floor leading to kitchen. There is a step up to dining, kitchen, living area. No grab bars in shower
We came to town for a concert and stayed the weekend. House was perfect for our needs. We had a little trouble with a broken shower curtain staying up but otherwise the property was perfect!
Owner was out of town so it took a few tries to get check in instructions, but he was apologetic and otherwise very responsive to questions. Accommodations were clean, modest, and accurately described. We appreciated already stocked coffee and laundry supplies. Updating the pots/pans, stocking shampoo/conditioner/soaps, and instructions for TV streaming would add alot to the value.
We stayed in this house for a little over a week while waiting for our new house to close in town. What a perfect spot within town. Quiet, secluded, while still being close to everything. The house was clean when we arrived and we had zero issues during our stay. Thank you!
Worst place in the wonderful town of Champaign. Thank God I didn't take my wife with me or i would likely be getting septated. The place wreaks of mold damage and is likely infested with it. The minute i walked into the washroom i was able to find where the water smell was coming from. All over the floor behind the toilet. I notified the owner right away. 8pm the next night i got a message that the plumber could not make it. As a licensed Illinois plumber I know that finding a plumber to set a toilet is not hard, especially on a Wednesday. After several more things went wrong on my stay the final straw was at 8am when the neighbor informed me that I had to vacate the property because he was having his tree cut down. I was informed that if i didn't leave I would be liable if the tree crushed me. The owner assured me that I would be getting my full refund "in writing". The owner has still yet to give me a refund.

The inside of the property is clean but outside of the yard is too dirty.
Pretty much as expected. A nice place for a bachelor. Suggestions for the host: install grab bars in the shower, leave some kind of instructions for the TV, broom to sweep the deck. Tips for guests: bring a full size bar of soap and bottled water for coffee.
Perfect place for our family reunion. Very clean and excellent communication with host. Love the meme board game! Will consider again when back in Champaign/Urbana.
This is our second stay at this cute house. SO close to the campus. My daughter had a music event and we needed to be here for 2 days. Came early and stayed late so we could enjoy the area. Roads are easy to navigate to get back to campus quickly as I needed to drop her off and come/go.
Could not ask for more in a place. Clean is my main judgement and this was very clean. 2nd was location which was a 5 min drive to downtown Champaign. We were very happy with our stay. Oh, and beds were very comfortable!
The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for what we needed. Special thanks to Ian for being immediately available to help us out when we accidentally locked ourself out of the property. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

Good location and neighborhood!
We had a good stay. I would have given a higher rating on check in and communication but had a small issue. The owner just forgot to send the check-in directions that included a more detailed description of the property (they have two together). It took a minute to get these directions. After that we had no issues. The owner apologized and took care of the things we needed.
