The Plantation property is special to us as we love the grounds and openness. Our second stay at unit 143 and hope we get to again in a couple years.

Just as relaxing as we remebered!

We had stayed on the property 2 years prior to our visit. It is affordable and located on a nice beach. The units are older and most not updated, but they are clean. This property speaks to the simple & wonderful heart of being on the island.

Nice ground, nice Beach. The only minus is NO AC. Some day it's really hot and uncomfortable without AC inside the Unit.

Location great. Host was very good in suggesting things to do for New Year's eve. Although dish washer was broken, the office suggested that staff would come and wash them for us. We did not use the service but felt good that there was an option. Beach is very close. Condo is clean, and comfortable. Overall a very good experience.

Nice central place

The Kiahuna Plantation places one in an ideal location is they want beaches and food within a walking distance. We had a car...but we didn't want to have to drive every time we went out and this was great. Enjoyed beach are out front and easy walk to Poipu Park Beach...where there is better snorkeling. We really enjoyed the Athletic Club just across the road....and even ate at the restaurant there a couple evenings. This unit is well maintained upper floor. Would recommend. Only suggestion would be to replace TV with Smart TV that allows use of Netflix and other apps as we enjoyed evening movies but could only access standard cable movies.

Quiet haven

This was our third vacation at Kiahuna and our second stay at this particular condo -- we love this place every time. Kiahuna is a quiet, green, lovely gem where walking to a beautiful, swimmable (in both winter and summer) beach is easy and pleasant. While in the condo, we enjoy the birds singing, the greenery and flowers, and the general mellow vibe of Kiahuna. This condo is quiet, bright and clean, and the new furniture and bed make it just perfect for us. The lanai is lovely to sit on with afternoon sun, and even when we were inside preparing meals, we had the lanai doors open so the breeze through the screens, and the view of the expansive lawn and skies, made me feel like I was still outside. The Hawaiian CDs are a great touch to make the vacation complete. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I wish the condo had a view of the ocean, but other than that it is perfect....and the view is pretty with lawn and trees. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us! We'll be back as often as we can!

Wonderful place, nice view

This is our third visit to Kiahuna Plantation - we love it there! The unit is very nicely furnished and well-kept, with all the necessities (except salt and pepper and condiments). This is a garden view unit, and this one has very good views out over the lawn area and bridges, rather than looking at another building. Fun to watch all the birds! We had only two small items less than perfect. The bathroom (shower/tub/toilet room) is pretty old and could use updating. And the balcony (second floor) is more angled to the morning sun than the other units we have stayed in, so the bright sun bathes the balcony pretty early in the day. So we spent more time inside than on the balcony, but still "borrowed" the outdoors via the sliding doors. All in all, a wonderful unit, and Patricia was great in communicating prior to our visit. One other thing - watch out for the afternoon check-in lady, she doesn't take any flack off anybody!

Fabulous!

I've been to Kauai many, many times, but hands down my favorite place to stay is at Kiahuna Plantation at Poipu Beach. Fabulous location, beautiful grounds and gorgeous beaches almost right outside your door made this condo the perfect locale from which to enjoy all that Poipu offers. This large, one bedroom condo on the second floor overlooks the immaculately kept grounds that make the plantation the magnificent property that it is. It was spacious, very comfortable, quiet, open, full of light and offered all amenities you could ask for, even binoculars! (and I did see some whales...) Nice large balcony, too. You can even use the Poipu Athletic Club across the street as part of your vacation package! Walking distance to most everything in Poipu...restaurants, bars, shopping, Spouting Horn, but be forewarned that you may never want to leave the beach! I loved this place and hope to make plans to rent again next year. There's a reason that it's always booked! I was lucky to get in at short notice for 3 days...but I needed more! Next year...

Condo location says ocean view but there is no ocean view. I felt that it was over priced for no ocean view while, later, looking at condos with ocean view found for the same price. The resorts next to us for just a little more were right on the beach with full ocean view. If that matters to you?

Beautiful Kauai!

We had a wonderful stay and our rental had everything we needed. I would suggest that a few things be updated like decor and mattress. Kiahuna Plantation is a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely Poipu Retreat

The condo was gorgeous and had everything we needed. We are grateful to be able to travel and explore this paradise. The proximity to the beach and all amenities was perfect. The staff were so nice. Kindness goes a long way these days and we really appreciate it being Canadians and visitors to this country. The kids loved being close to the mall and everyone was so nice to my teen with bright pink hair. Thanks again!!

We love the Kiahuna!

We've stayed at the Kiahuna many times and always have a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and it is family friendly without being a nuthouse. The ocean and beach are very close and we used the pool/athletic club across the street daily. This unit is very similar to other units we've stayed in -- not fancy, but has what you need. It is well stocked with everything you'll need for cooking, going to the beach, etc. We did end up paying a lot more than we are used to for pretty much the same experience, but that may have just been bad timing on our part. We did have an issue with the door lock which kept us in for one night, but it was fixed the next day. All in all a lovely experience as we have come to expect from our stays at the Kiahuna!

Beautiful Kiahuna!

This was a special trip to the island for my daughter's wedding. Staying at the Kiahuna - where their friends also located - gave us lovely sunsets, big waves, turtles, and colorful rainbows! We enjoyed a 4th of July BBQ with everyone in the wedding party on the grass between our condos. An altogether joyful time!
