Check in at Sun of a Sailor and spend days splashing in the surf and soaking up the sun or simply relaxing with a good book on 1 of the spacious covered decks.

The exterior offers under-house concrete parking and interior access to the living quarters. An outdoor shower (hot/cold) is perfect after a day on the beach. The outdoor staircase on the Beachfront provides easy access to the shimmering sand from the first floor of the home. A shaded deck with park-style grill and fish cleaning table is perfect for cooking up that “Fresh from Florida” catch of the day!

Enclosed foyer stairs on the ground floor lead to the living spaces above and a convenient guest elevator makes unloading and loading your gear and groceries a breeze. The first floor's sleeping accommodations feature the Beachfront king master suite with access to the Beachfront deck and stunning coastal views, flat screen TV, remote work space, full private bathroom with spa tub and separate shower and direct access to the north (Bayside) covered deck. Another Beachfront king bedroom offers a flat screen TV, remote work space and direct access to the Beachfront deck. The north side bunk bedroom includes a Queen bed and a Triple Twin XL bunk bed with a flat screen TV and direct access to a covered porch with Bay views. The bunk room and the King bedroom share the full bathroom located in the hallway. A laundry area with washer and dryer is provided for guest convenience on this floor.

The second floor's open living/dining/kitchen space is the heart of this beach vacation home. The living area features plenty of comfy seating and a large flat screen TV for movie nights or just spending time catching up with family and friends. A modern queen sleeper sofa is available in the living room for 2 extra sleeping accommodations. The large dining table seats up to 14 and is a favorite gathering spot for meals, games, puzzles and spending time with family and friends, while making memories to last a lifetime.

There is plenty of space to gather inside or outside on the Beachfront decks with amazing views of the Gulf beaches and turquoise waters beyond. Plentiful deck furniture and tables and chairs for al fresco dining provide lots of options for outdoor entertainment on both Beachfront decks. Back inside, the fully stocked kitchen with an induction cooktop and 2 refrigerators with 3 ice makers has everything needed to prepare delicious coastal feasts. The chef in your crew will appreciate being a part of the fun while cooking and enjoying Gulf and Bay views. The kitchen also offers direct access to the bayside covered deck with an additional outdoor dining table and views of the Bay. The second floor's king master bedroom suite features beautiful Bay views, direct access to a covered deck, a full private bathroom and flat screen TV. This is the perfect “grandparents room” on the floor with elevator access to the main living/dining/kitchen area. A half bathroom on the second floor provides additional guest convenience. The elevator accesses the third floor's private king bedroom suite with flat screen TV that offers a full private bathroom with walk-in shower and access to the private balcony with lounge chairs and amazing Gulf views.

Great house in a perfect location!

We had a wonderful week. We loved being right on the beach with the added bonus of looking over to the bay!! The house was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family! We enjoyed the community pool too! Hope to stay there again!

Great place by the beach!

This house fit 13 people quite easily, and the elevator was much appreciated since one of our party was recovering from ACL surgery. Very close to the state park also!

Beach birthday getaway

My wife and joined friends and famiy to celebrate her 60th birthday. The house is fantastic. Plenty of room for 8 adults and the location is perfect. We all agree we want to donit again.

High surf!!

Sun of a Sailor was perfect for us. Spacious and comfy. Deck furniture was great for meals and just relaxing with coffee and cocktails! Sunset Beach at St George is my favorite 🏝🐬 We couldn’t use our kayaks and paddle board because of the bra high surf. Otherwise, our stay was perfection!!

The property was beautiful, great porches and open room for family time. The beach was amazing, no one was out there. I e had a few friends on the beach, but it was paradise. Kitchen had to enough stock to just bring your favorites and you’re home. I wish we could all be together so much longer, but I loved it - had a beach wheelchair for my bad knee and sciatica. It was great, so I got in the ocean the first day!!

Amazing house

The property/house was amazing! My husband and I had our 4 kids and their significant others join us for family vacation. We had plenty of space and privacy for each couple. Kids all in their 20s. Beachfront views and pool were very nice. The kitchen table was long enough for all of us.would like to stay again sometime. There wasn’t much going on being in the offseason and weather wasn’t ideal but we still had a great time. 2large refrigerators was also a plus. One for food and one for drinks!

Serene, Fabulous Spot for the Whole Family

We absolutely loved our time at Son of a Sailor! The property had everything we could possibly need and more. Our kids LOVED the beautiful bunk room, and we had space to house our entire extended family comfortably. We utilized the pack n play as well, so it was so nice not to have to travel with it! Our kids wanted to spend all of their time on the beach, and it was so nice to be able to walk straight out there. When the wind got intense for them, we walked over to the pool and continued the party in the heated pool. We loved exploring in town, and the kids adored the ice cream shop. We seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. We have been reminiscing over our first trip to St. George Island and we will definitely be back! Also, this may not be important to many, but the washer/dryer worked so well- which we appreciate traveling with little kiddos (!). We're so appreciative of all of the details and touches throughout the home. Thank you!
