The property was perfect for the long weekend. It has a great location close to the national park and forests, and the town of Packwood. The house was equipped with everything you need and you can't beat the view from the hot tub.
We had an excellent stay at this property and would absolutely recommend it to others. The house was spacious, exceptionally clean, and had everything we needed for our visit. The highlight was the incredible, frame-worthy view of Mount Rainier—it was the perfect backdrop to wake up to each morning. The location was also ideal, just about a minute from downtown Packwood, making it easy to grab breakfast before heading into Mount Rainier National Park and dinner after a long day of hiking. Overall, this is a beautiful home in a fantastic location, and we would gladly stay here again.
Perfect location. Gorgeous property. 4 of us spent 10 days here in early October and couldn’t be happier. We only left to hike and grab groceries as we didn’t want to miss the views and comforts we had at the house. There was wildlife to see every day - one morning we watched a herd of over 25 elk just sunning and playing in the river. It was magical. Beds were so comfortable! We enjoyed the media room at night (when we weren’t star gazing), and we had a puzzle going on one dining table and could still play cards and games at the other. Can’t say enough about this property. It was hard to leave. Also, thanks to Jake - he was super responsive and ready to offer recommendations and check to see if we needed anything. Can’t wait to come back!
Probably the best experience we have ever had with a rental property and host. The home was clean and well stocked. The location was great! We absolutely loved Packwood and all the people. The host was very helpful and responsive. The property itself was breath taking with incredible views. Also one of the few homes with central AC. Overall A 10/10 I would absolutely recommend this rental. If we ever return to visit we will definitely stay here again!
This property is outstanding. My husband and I, along with our adult children, stayed here while visiting Mt. Rainier NP. It is a short drive to the Stevens Canyon entrance and right outside of Packwood. When we arrived there were low clouds and fog, but when the fog lifted on the second day we were dazzled by the fantastic view of Mt. Rainier! The same morning we saw elk in the river behind the house, along with an eagle. It was so peaceful I wished we could stay longer. Everyone agreed that the property was even better in person than in the pictures. The house was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Packwood has a decent grocery store and post office. This was a dream national park vacation! Thank you for sharing your exceptional home with us!
Just finished four wonderful days at this beautiful home. The listing does not do the setting justice. It is peaceful and quiet, right on the banks of the Cowlitz River. There’s a view of Mount Rainier in the distance. Two mornings we saw elk walking by along the river. We saw bald eagles flying up the river every day. We spent days exploring the area, then just relaxed at the house in the afternoons. The kids had a blast skipping rocks in the river and splashing in the hot tub. We absolutely loved this place and recommend it highly. Thank you so much for the rental! I hope we can come back someday.
This was a well maintained gorgeous, spacious home right on the river. Our family had an amazing time!! Would highly recommend and we will return as well!!!
This house is perfect for a multi Gen or multi family getaway. There are 3 different “wings” that have enough privacy for you to do your own nighttime routines and plenty of common space- the great room is basically the whole bottom floor and makes hanging out very easy. We were even able to fit all of us around the big table for board games. Except my husband who was only ever fishing because of the amazing river access (the river is not for swimming- extremely fast moving and cold)
Everything is great about this property. Easy access, on the river, plenty of room. I was able to keep in touch with the property manager regarding access (due to the flooding in the area). I would recommend this property highly.
This beautiful home was the perfect place to stay for easy access to white pass ski resort. Very comfortable stay with beautiful views that we loved. Would definitely book here again!
Great place with nice river access, good outdoor and indoor spaces to relax, fit our larger group well, clean and had all the amenities. I would recommend going here for nice relaxation and to enjoy the nearby trails if you go in the summer. It was very close to the town but also was pretty isolated giving you quiet and privacy which was very nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house! It is very beautiful, quiet and comfortable! The kitchen was also very conveniently stocked! We will be back!
