Beautifully set among the trees with grounds that slope down to the banks of the Goose River, this waterfront house in Rockport is a place for taking in the beauty of Midcoast Maine. Enjoy gorgeous views, multiple decks, and the charms of Rockport Harbor practically outside your door. This riverfront home sits near the heart of Rockport, a quiet town with one of the most picturesque harbors in Maine. Stroll a quarter-mile to reach the Rockport Opera House, several renowned restaurants, and the harbor itself, or walk two blocks in the other direction to join an excursion with Maine Sport Outfitters. Take neighborhood walks into Camden (two miles) or hop in the car to explore Camden Hills State Park (three miles) or Rockland's great restaurants and annual events (seven miles).

The spring, summer, and fall are a time for lingering outdoors, whether that means playing in the grass with your kids, rocking in a chair on the porch, or admiring the fall colors from the deck as you dine alfresco and cozy up by the fire table. There's even a two-story sunroom encased in glass, allowing you to take in the view and still feel the warmth of the sun once the weather turns chilly.

The main living area is on the entry level, offering an open, light-filled space where you can gather at the end of each day of exploring. Curl up on the sofa with a good book, set the dining room table for dinner, and lend a helping hand in the kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances. Each evening, retreat downstairs to the den to watch movies on cable and streaming or log onto the high-speed WiFi at the desk. Bonus features of the house include a balcony off the primary bedroom on the top floor, and both a rowing machine and a stationary bike for your morning workouts.
