The place was nice, spacious, and as clean as it can be. Perfect for our big family. Also, it was less than 5 minutes to the nearest boat launch, which was a bonus for us as we were there mainly for fishing. If we were to rent it again, I would. However, for the next time, I'd know to bring extra trash bags and laundry detergent, especially for washing the towels (none were provided).

Our family loves the pool The kids spend most of their time there. We like the open floor plan. We can be cooking and talking to the people in the living room. Nice to have a washer /dryer to wash clothes so you take clean not dirty clothes home. It is advertised as 4 bedroom. There are 3 bedrooms and a pull out couches in rec room and living room. We have rented from this owner 3 times. different houses. We will definitely come back

I rented this place for a fishing get away on Rathbun Lake, and this place met all my wants. Boat landing was only 2 min drive away. The patio with the pool and the game room kept my kids and their cousins occupied when they don't want to go fishing. The house was big and roomy for a lot of guests to stay and sleep comfortably. The place was clean. Doug was great and friendly. When we got there, the pool wasn't working, so he came out right away to fix the pool. This place definately made the trip better. A must rent for a large family get away!

We have stayed at this property a couple of different times. It is actually a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, plus fold outs for extra sleeping in the game room. I really like the all concrete floors and the location of the home even though it’s not on the water directly. You can see a peek of the lake from the backyard across the neighbors view. The space is perfect for our large family to gather and the in ground pool and fire pit is perfect after the day at the lake. ( they allow dogs too which is nice) The house itself is getting a little worn from the renters, and could use a refresh on paint, new pans, the inside of the oven was not clean etc- but overall it is a great local option just a short drive down to the Island View beach and boat launch area. I did message the owner on our first night about an issue with the smoke detector beeping low battery that was in a locked utility closet, and it was still going off when we left this morning. Perhaps they were gone or busy for the holiday weekend, but it is annoying and with the price increases, we are not sure if we can come back as this is one of the highest priced options in the area.

We had family come together and ride ohv’s, swim, fish, and golf. It was a great place to stay while enjoying everything your home and area had to offer.

The online photos don’t do this place justice! It’s incredibly spacious, featuring two living areas, one nicely sized bedroom, and two large bedrooms with private bathrooms. The third bathroom was a big plus—it easily accommodated our group of 14 guys. Parking was plentiful and fit our four boats and trucks with no issue.The house is very family-friendly, with board games for kids and a pool table and poker table for adults. The swimming pool looked great, though we didn’t get to use it since the weather was a bit chilly for May. There’s a charcoal grill available, though a gas grill would’ve been convenient since town is about a 20-minute drive.The host was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again. As an avid fisherman, I especially appreciated the easy boat access to Lake Rathbun just down the road. The early bird definitely gets the worm here!

High School Girlfriends Reunion

Great property! This place provides all the things that we look for when booking our yearly reunion. Lots of house space for sleeping, playing games, watching movies, or cooking and eating. The pool area is the best we have encountered in the 12 years we have been having our get away reunions. Love the covered area with the bar, the table and the fire pit. God willing we will be back!

It was great, we have already reserved the house for next year. The storm was crazy and knocked out internet so we couldn’t watch much tv which ok- we spent time in the pool. Great host and easy to chat with. Quick to help w issues. 10 breakers blown but he came right over and got us up and running again.

Close to Lake and pool

A great place to stay with our family! The kids loved the pool. One recommendation would be for a solar pool cover. The pool was a little chilly for me. Especially if you want to swim in the evening. We would loved to grill out, but a very small charcoal grill. The whole family enjoyed the game room! We will definitely stay here again. Close to Lake Rathbun. Loved having a washer/dryer to keep suits and towels clean. A very friendly neighborhood.

Weekend Family Getaway

This was a nice home for a weekend getaway with the family. We've stayed at these homes a few times now and have had fun each time. The pool is always nice and the night skies are always spectacular. The only minor things were that it can be loud since it's mostly hard surfaces, and could have been a bit more clean before we arrived. Also it appeared that there weren't any chlorine tablets in the pool? Could be wrong on that. But again, overall, we enjoy our time in these houses in the Rathbun/Mystic neighborhood!

Owner was easy to communicate with. We loved how spacious the place was and it was a great fit for our large group. The pool and pool table were also a big hit.A couple things we wish were better (but did not ruin our stay): the property was not as clean as expected, and although the home is advertised to accommodate up to 14 guests, there were not enough extra blankets, pillows to comfortably support a group that size.
