This home comfortably accommodated our party of 8. We rented a lift chair for my elderly dad and there was ample room in the living room to set up. Having a full bath on the first floor was instrumental in allowing dad to be comfortable and independent. The host was extremely responsive to our questions throughout. The only note I have is there were not screens on all windows, we had wonderfully cool nights and would have liked to open windows but didn’t want to let bugs in. I would highly recommend this property! We were in town for my daughter’s wedding and it was great to have a home base in this beautiful location.

Great stay with family

We requested an early check in, which was quickly accommodated, and much appreciated. The property was as described, with thoughtful amenities. A great stay with lots of room for the kids to spread out.

The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and inviting. Great for kids and families to spread out. The river is a plus and they have kayaks and life vests to use!

We picked this house specifically because my brother’s wedding was at St. Clement’s Castle, and the location was perfect. We honestly could have walked there if we wanted to! Beautiful area, check-in was easy with the code, and the house itself was as advertised with plenty of space for our stay.The biggest downside was cleanliness. The main rooms were clean, but there were quite a few things that seemed to be left from previous guests, including food in the fridge. I did let the host know. The basement/laundry area also could use some attention. I know it’s an older New England home, but since the washer and dryer are down there for guests to use, I expected it to be a little cleaner. I walked straight into a spiderweb going downstairs.We also lost power for several hours during our stay. When it happened, the first message we received was about the outdoor cameras being unplugged and asking us to plug them back in, which felt a little accusatory since the power was actually out. Once we explained, though, communication was good. They kept us updated and even gave us a partial credit for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.Overall, I would stay here again, especially for a wedding at St. Clement’s. You really can’t beat the location!

Family time

Property was exactly as listed. We had a great time. The home is on a dead end street, so no traffic noise. If you're looking for something to do while there, Mystic Seaport was about an hour away as well as some beaches. The property owner was quick to answer any concerns we had and very easy to reach. We had a relaxing vacation and would definitely stay here again.

NE TRIP

Many places in the house to relax and enjoy. Loved the natural light, the view and the sound of birds to wake up to. The layout is quirky and for those with mobility issues it’s slightly challenging (i.e. railings on the front steps and upstairs). Appreciate the responsiveness. Front door lock was tricky-took several tries to make sure it was secure. Very comfortable.

My family and I visited CT to go see our grandparents and extended family. We loved the location of the rental, being tucked away with a peaceful water front view. We were also close to everything we needed. The house was clean and full of supplies for many activities for kids, cooking, cleaning, etc. So check at the rental before you go shopping for something! Communication with the host was easy and fast, very appreciative of that. Our flight was cancelled and we had to stay another day and they were very accommodating. Overall, we would definitely rebook if coming back to CT & it was available.

Family time

The property was rustic yet very inviting. It was nicely remodeled and and there was plenty of things that we needed. A lot of televisions and video games. A nice fireplace which we didn't actually get to use, but nice to look at incase we wanted to. Nice deck and yard with wonderful view of the Connecticut river. A little picnic table area ro go sit. I just wish there was more space at the water. The kitchen standing are was kind of small to be able to stand straight at the sink with the dishwasher open, was very crammed. Overall it was just right but our grown family to all meet up with 5 comfotable bedrooms and plenty if space for us to visit comfortably. Very clean and neat.
