Seaside Garden: 2 min walk to the Bay, peaceful, private, bird haven.
Secluded, peaceful. Two minute walk to spectacular views looking west at tidal flats, sunsets and private Bay water access.
The house centers around an inviting courtyard/patio, with a European feel, surrounded by a luscious and peaceful garden. Birds abound in this private property.
Newly renovated Master bedroom and bath with a large picture window and a new window so you can see the sky and tree tops while lying in bed. There is a wall air conditioner in the master bedroom. It could be used to cool off the other 2 bedrooms for sleeping. Full bathroom and kitchen. Large, newly completed outdoor shower with mahogany floor, bench and shelves. Room darkening shades available in bedrooms.
NOTE for 2025 season: My neighbor is rebuilding his home. It is likely that the property will be "buttoned up" by June 1, 2025. So, they will likely be working inside and it will be quieter.
Completely childproofed outlets with built-in USB ports to easily recharge your electronic devices. Soft outdoor lighting welcomes you down a wooded path and reflects off of the french lilac tree which arches over the outdoor shower.
The living room looks out to the courtyard and forest with wide, floor to ceiling sliding glass/screen doors. During the cooler months the large windows bring the outside in while you are cozy. However, the fireplace is out of service.
This is the perfect place to enjoy your friends or family and relax. Clean, tasteful and has comfortable beds, each with reading lights. Bunk room can accommodate the occasional extra guest.
Patio, Fireplace, 3 zone Weber Grill, Hammock for two, HD TV with basic Cable/Blue Ray player and Roku, High Speed Internet with WiFi, aux input to AM/FM Stereo, Washer/Dryer, modern kid safe outlets. Built in USB outlets in most rooms to charge your devices.
Fantastic, safe place for young (and old) children to enjoy the vast expanse of sand, shallow tidal pools, western sky and warm water. Note: at our private water access, there is beach available for 8 hours: four hours on either side of low tide. Campground beach, a 10 min walk away, has beach available in any tide.
Kayak put-in only a 10 minute walk to Campground Landing.
Five minute drive to North Eastham center with Ben and Jerry's, Arnolds, Mac's seafood, gourmet deli, shops, more.
Perfectly situated for easy access by car or bike to ocean beaches, Cape Cod Rail Trail, the National Seashore Center and Wellfleet Audubon Sanctuary.
Bonus for parents of small children: The backyard/ main outdoor living space is completely enclosed by a high, tasteful, wide perimeter fence. So, you can relax instead of worrying about your child wandering off the property.
Water Access: The private water access is a two minute walk via the quiet sandy lane of Westshore Drive accessed from the front of the house. We are six houses in from the water. So, if you forget something while you are at the beach, you can run back and forth to the house and beach in a jiffy.
More fun stuff: There are multiple, lounge chair floats with arm and back rests and a place for your beverage. When the tide is high, you can tie them onto nearby floating moorings to make your own flotilla near the private water access.
Note: The cleaners will apply sanitized pillow protectors with every turnover. However, they will replace mattress pad protectors or blankets only if soiled in any way. The beds are supplied with mattress pad covers, pillow protectors and cotton blankets. Tenants supply their own sheets and towels, bathmats, dish towels. Plastic wraps, bags, tin foil, parchment paper are supplied. Unfortunately, pets and pet visitors are not allowed in the house. My cleaner inspects the house for evidence of pets and takes pictures to show me. If the team finds evidence of a pet, she will charge me extra. I will deduct her fee from your security deposit. If a guest pet soils any part of the property, please remove it.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, the host was lovely, and the house had all the amenities we needed and was extremely comfortable. We have stayed in numerous houses on the Outer Cape over the past 15 years and this was truly our favorite.
Fantastic location! Private beach was very close and convenient, but no beach at high tide but can still swim. Campground beach very close to walk to also. Loved biking on the rail trail (and keeping bikes in shed) and easy walk to local coffee/sandwich and grocery shop called The Landing. Easy drives to Audobon preserve and visitor center at National Seashore and good Free programs there. Comfortable home with well stocked kitchen. Loved the outside shower.
We loved our stay here! The beds were very comfortable, gardens peaceful, and kitchen very well stocked with anything you’d need for cooking. We walked to the bay each night for sunset and enjoyed many games at the big kitchen table. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the Cape!
Lovely home in quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to bay-side beach, short drive to National Seashore. Bike trail, restaurants& ice cream activities close by
We had a lovely week with friends at this comfortable home near the bay beach. Kitchen was very well outfitted and home was comfortable. Communication was easy.
My favorite location- easy walk to the ocean (bayside), easy drive to National Seashore beaches, Wellfleet Wildlife Sanctuary, Wellfleet galleries & restaurants, Provincetown. Comfortable house with modern amenities for an easy week with family.
Solid location by the beach in Eastham. Walking distance to a small private beach as well as Campground beach. Helps a lot with a small kid + crazy town parking fees.
House was a little rustic for our tastes but overall it worked out for an early season getaway to Cape Cod.
Property as described. Cottage 1 floor. Nearest access to beach very close, but a lot of steep steps.

The high dunes of this sought after part of Eastham offer sweeping and spectacular views looking west over the tidal basin of Cape Cod Bay with stairway access.
Handicap access to the Bay is a 2 minute car ride to Campground Beach.
Loved the 5min walk to warm bay water and sunsets! Lots of time on floats and paddle board at high tide. The stand up shower, large kitchen table and several different spaces were big for my family of 5. Great quiet location for morning walks and runs and proximity to outer cape seashore beaches. Nice to have the patio shade also, that really came in handy.

Thank you for the lovely review.
The recently constructed outdoor shower is made out of mahogany and cedar. It provides beautiful views of the treetops, birds and sky. It’s a wonderful way to get the sweat and sand off after a day at the beach.
Lounge floats are provided with back and arm rests and a place for a drink.
I’m glad you had a great vacation!
We’ve been coming to the Cape for years and this has to be our favorite property yet! The cottage itself was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The yard is an absolute jewel: private, with beautiful plantings and so many birds! We loved the short walk to the beach, with calm water and the smoothest sand. We were sad to leave, and look forward to coming back!
Beautiful cottage tucked away from the road only a short walk to beach. House is comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed to make some great meals. Chairs for the beach were used every day and we enjoyed the outdoor shower, pretty flowers in the yard and happy birds. Owner was incredibly helpful with problem we had with rented linens. Can’t wait to come back next year.

Great Relaxing Place, Perfect for a family
We really enjoyed staying at this house, very close walk to private bay beach. The grounds were wonderful and provided hours of entertainment for my little kids, chasing butterflies, inspecting bugs and plants. We had everything we needed from coffee filters to outdoor furniture and even a shed to lock our bikes in. Also very close to Rt 6 and the ocean beaches. I would recommend this house to anyone couples, families etc. It was very quiet and relaxing.

Absolutely Perfect
We stayed here with 2 adults and 4 kids and as good as it looks in the photos and the description, it was even better in reality, if that's possible.
The condition and comfort of the house were wonderful, the size was perfect, and just about everything you could need is already there waiting for you.
The location is ideal, close enough to the beach to walk whenever you'd like, close enough to drive for ice cream, and far enough from the rest of civilization to feel relaxed.
We walked to the beach twice a day, the kids relaxed and played in the private yard, we all sat together every night, watched the birds, read and played games. No one wanted to go home.

Thank you for your unsolicited and glowing review! It is very satifying to know families and their friends have wonderful holidays in my home. Every year I'm able to complete more improve-ments from my iPhone wish list. Watch for raspberry bushes next year!
This was our first time staying in Eastham, a family of 5 with three boys ages 7, 4 and 2 . The location was great for accessing the beach with the private beach less than a 5 minute walk and Campground Beach about 10 minutes. It should be noted that there is no/limited beach on the private beach 2-3 hours before and after high tide. For us high tide was 8am thru 1pm during our stay. We would spend our mornings at Campground Beach then venture over to the private beach where we could then easily break for lunch and come back. While there are some floats to hang out in during high tide, our kids are a bit too young. Our kids had a lot of fun in the tide pools and digging on the sand bars. There's a Cape Cod Rail Trail Parking lot 5 minutes away which gave us an opportunity to bike to Nauset Light House and Lecount Hollow Beach plus stop for lunch and ice cream.A rainy day found us at the Eastham Library which were running some activities for the kids. The kids room has a train table and play kitchen. The house has plenty of room and has everything you need for some time away. We picked up some fish and oysters at the local market. We made use of the grill and shucked the oysters ourselves since the kitchen made the tools avaliable. Our host Karen was great in communicating and answering questions we had about the area. All in all it was a great visit and we would consider visiting again in the future.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I’m so glad your family had a fabulous time at this sweet property.
For added clarity, I put a note in the description which describes how the tides and beach availability work at our private access. Thank you for the suggestion.

Early Autumn Getaway
My brother, sister-in-law, and I spent a week in Sept. Although the weather was rainy part of the time, the house was nice and cozy. My brother especially loved watching the birds at the feeder (and the chipmunks!) and we used the resident bird books every day. All of us enjoyed the easy access to the beach--both in high tide and low--walking there in the early morning and at sunset. The space felt very private, despite neighbors on all sides.
The kitchen was well appointed, and everything was very clean. The only thing that would have made this an absolute perfect getaway (Five Stars!) for us would be brighter overall lighting in the kitchen and dining room (because two of us have very poor vision). The dining room light only covered the center of the long table, (turning it would solve that issue), while a bit more overhead light in the kitchen would also be helpful (although all the current lights are lovely). I think in the summer this is probably less of an issue, since it was overcast for most of the week we were there.
The owner was helpful and responded to our questions in a timely manner, and we would definitely consider returning. We would love to visit when the weather is a bit sunnier so we could enjoy sitting out on the wonderful private patio!

Thank you for the lovely review.
All the lights are on dimmer switches (some of them programmable) which can be confusing to master at first. The kitchen has indirect lighting and a bright ceiling light that may have been missed.
I'm glad you had a nice holiday!
Beautiful, peaceful garden cottage. Very tranquil spot to wake up each morning. Private yard surrounded by large trees and shrubs and happy birds. Great location to the bay beach. Quick bike ride to the rail trail. Easy drive to anywhere. The cottage was comfortable for 4 adults, more would be tight. Karen was thoughtful and thorough in her explanation of and guidelines property details. We brought our bikes and were able to store them in the shed. We found a very clean cottage upon arrival, (except for a sandy table on which we were about to dine.) I do suggest renters bring enough hand soap for bathrooms. Would happily stay here again in a heartbeat.
This house provides a wonderful private retreat while still being close to beaches and local amenities. The gardens are beautiful and filled with a variety of birds. The surrounding landscaping and lush gardens offer complete privacy for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful outdoor shower. The house is clean, bright and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary cookware and utensils if you enjoy cooking and eating at home. Karin is a lovely hostess— friendly, responsive and accommodating. We had a wonderful week and look forward to returning again.
My husband, 5-month-old baby, and parents stayed here for the week and had a great time. Love that the beach is just a few minutes walk. The garden patio was great for dinners at home too. Thank you!
I love that this home is so cozy and private. Neighbors are nearby but you can’t see them with the beautiful fenced garden. The beach is a quick walk, however many stairs down to the beach was a bit hard on my 70 something friend. Also at high tide be advised there is no beach, water comes up to stairs. We had a few hiccups with the house that I felt were not clearly stated in the house manual. I do give the owner credit for trying to work with us to resolve issues. She was very friendly and communicated well. My advice would be to streamline the house manual, it is quite long and has too many off season vs on season rules to wade through. All that said, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back!!
This charming and simple beach home was a wonderful oasis for our family. We enjoyed the tranquility of the garden and the ease of access to the beach and amenities of Eastham close by (including The Landing very close by for coffee and ice cream!). We enjoyed the kitchen supplies provided, as we have three small children and cooked most meals at the home! It was also so helpful to have beach items to borrow. We would love to visit again.
