Property was amazing right along the river! Amazing 1950’s house loved the floor to ceiling windows. Boys had a great time fishing & enjoyed the star gazing at night in the field. Sound of the waterfall was so soothing. Would definitely stay again.
This house was the perfect getaway and home base for our trip to Sequoia & Kings Canyon! The house had every amenity we could ask for and the view was spectacular. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of traveling to Three Rivers or the National Parks!
Bucolic setting for a getaway from the city. Far enough away from the main drag but close enough to get to the market or restaurants if you wanted to. Bed was comfy and we slept well in this peaceful place. I would recommend to others.
This was our 2nd year to vacation to Steve’s property. It really is such an amazing experience it was just my husband and I but the property would be great for families as well. We cooked all week in the well stocked kitchen. We were in the river every day, and we can’t wait to come back next year. Steve is an exceptional host and really cares that your stay is amazing.
What a wonderful, relaxing home. It has everything and is close to the National Park. River swimming was incredible. Thank you to the very helpful and responsive host.
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this property. There were a bunch of fun inflatable river toys/rafts for us to use as well. The house is so unique, it's like a time capsule of midcentury architecture and technology. Air conditioner worked great, river was lovely, and we had everything we needed.
This home was lovely, set up against a bustling river. It was tranquil and perfect for a gateaway with an old friend. We had a marvelous time enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location close to Sequoia NP and we loved the river running right next to the home. Swimming in mid May was brisk and refreshing. The full wall of windows brought nature inside. The home is well equipped, playing horseshoes was fun, and the location is private. We had a nice stay and wish we were staying longer.
Loved this mid-century modern ranch and the epic river experience! Property is just as described and Steve was a superb host. We’d love to come back another time! So relaxing to listen to the river and birds. Steve is gracious and responsive and his communication is really friendly. We could tell he wanted us to have a good time. Great spot and lovely experiences at the house at in the National Park.
5 Stars across the board. The property was amazing! I was looking for something secluded near the water, and I found this place to be the perfect spot to relax and get away from the world for a bit. It looked exactly like the listing, except better in person. The scenery was beautiful, and the wildlife was entertaining. It was only a short drive from the town and an easy drive to Sequoia National Park. We spent most our time outside soaking in nature, but the inside of the house was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the A/C blew nice & cold. Steve was an excellent host, and had a great level of communication. He would check in periodically to make sure we were making the most of the property, and made sure we were aware of all of the amenities his place had to offer. I highly recommend this place if you’re making a trip to Three Rivers or SNP. I definitely plan on coming back on my future. trips to the area.
This was our second stay here and it was every bit as great as we remembered! The host was very friendly and informative. We got to explore the Sequoia National Forest and finally visit The Crystal Cave! This house was a perfect place to end our adventures and relax every day. It is full of character and charm, making it feel very homey. We loved all of the windows and waking to the view every day. The river and surrounding nature has made this place hold a special place in our hearts and we have made some great family memories here. This river retreat is one of our favorite vacations. We hope to come back again!
Quiet, secluded vrbo rental. House has a classic mid 50s design that I found charming. The view from living room or river side bedroom are both very nice with the wall of windows looking out onto the beautiful natural vegetation and river. You could hear the rushing river at all times outdoor even though the river was somewhat lower being as it was late September early October during our stay. The location is about a ten minute drive from the main road in Three Rivers making the property feel very secluded. The bed in the river side bedroom was very comfortable. The house comes with many welcome extras like coolers, water floats for river, rechargeable lanterns, flashlight, spices, assortment of aluminum foil, saran wrap, extension cords, junk drawer with items you frequently need. Central air worked very quickly to cool the house. Extensive selection of DVD movies if interested. Very good wifi internet connection. Very good lighting outdoors in the evenings. Comfortable cushioned seating on riverside porch.Couple of negatives, 1. Would like to have had a water filter on the kitchen sink to have at least one drinkable water source. 2. Would suggest light switches were labeled as frequently switches appeared non functional or at least confusing. Would not hesitate to book property again.
If you want an amazing date getaway this is the place! Secluded, clean, beautiful, everything you need in a home. This place is so peaceful and serene.
