We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this property. There were a bunch of fun inflatable river toys/rafts for us to use as well. The house is so unique, it's like a time capsule of midcentury architecture and technology. Air conditioner worked great, river was lovely, and we had everything we needed.
Great location close to Sequoia NP and we loved the river running right next to the home. Swimming in mid May was brisk and refreshing. The full wall of windows brought nature inside. The home is well equipped, playing horseshoes was fun, and the location is private. We had a nice stay and wish we were staying longer.
Loved this mid-century modern ranch and the epic river experience! Property is just as described and Steve was a superb host. We’d love to come back another time! So relaxing to listen to the river and birds. Steve is gracious and responsive and his communication is really friendly. We could tell he wanted us to have a good time. Great spot and lovely experiences at the house at in the National Park.
This home was lovely, set up against a bustling river. It was tranquil and perfect for a gateaway with an old friend. We had a marvelous time enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. I would definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay here and it was every bit as great as we remembered! The host was very friendly and informative. We got to explore the Sequoia National Forest and finally visit The Crystal Cave! This house was a perfect place to end our adventures and relax every day. It is full of character and charm, making it feel very homey. We loved all of the windows and waking to the view every day. The river and surrounding nature has made this place hold a special place in our hearts and we have made some great family memories here. This river retreat is one of our favorite vacations. We hope to come back again!
This property is everything you are looking for in a Riverfront location. The home sits on the Kaweah River steps away from your front door. There is ample room for water fun and fishing, too! The home is an original ranch style designed by Cliff May, which adds to the vintage vibe. Inside is well furnished, clean, fun decor and comfortable! The Host, Steve, was available for any questions or suggestions, very helpful and accommodating! Thx Steve and Elaine for sharing your awesome home for others to enjoy, as well. This home and town of 3 Rivers are close to Sequoia NP and a great home to come back to after a long day at the park! We will return! Happy Customers Mona & Bear - Central Coast.
This property is the perfect location for getting away to visit Sequoia National Park. We were close enough for an easy drive into the park, yet far enough from the highway you wouldn't even know it was there. The property is very private and far back on the road that we only saw a few cars in the fours days we were there. The property has a lot to offer, we fished, played horseshoes, picked flowers for the house, played on the swings, and the kids did their version of a cold plunge in the river. This would be a very nice swimming hole in the summer when the water warms up. We really enjoyed the sounds of the river, this is all you hear the whole time, nothing else. The property was very pleasant, and we had peaceful time staying there. I would definitely recommend it to anyome staying in this area.
We really enjoyed our stay here on the river. The place fit our family of 5 perfectly and we had a great time fishing right outside our door and using the place as a springboard to visit Sequoia National Park. Our host Steve was attentive to any messages and very welcoming. I would highly recommend it to others.
If you want an amazing date getaway this is the place! Secluded, clean, beautiful, everything you need in a home. This place is so peaceful and serene.
Wonderful property and cute mid century modern house that made us feel right at home. The river was beautiful and the swings were fun! Minutes from great hiking at Sequoia National Park. Can’t wait to come back for another stay soon!
This is our third time staying at this beautiful property. It has everything you need for a weekend of family fun and relaxation. The river was refreshing and the house very comfortable. We can't wait to come back again in the future.
The house and property are a gem. If you are looking for a place away from it all with just the sound of rushing water this is the place. Sitting on the back porch to start and finish our day was special. House is well equipped and owner was great.
Very pretty location. House is very dated but nice

Thank you Doug for the 5 star review. Actually the "dated house" is an original "Clff May mid-century modern ranch home" It is a highly prized design style by the leader of that style and we continue to embrace the mid-century modern design by moving all the furnishings and decor in that direction.
We really love the location of the house, right next to the river. The sound of water was very soothing. The view was beautiful . The house was clean and comfortable. We have what we need during our stay. We just unlucky did not catch any fish! We would love to come back during summer month so we can swim in the river! The communication is the best too!
We enjoy seeing the excited reactions of our many guests who also appreciate the uniqueness of the property, location and also its rich history (that we also provide in a document) when booked.
Why they chose this property
We have enjoyed this property as a 'family compound' since we purchased it in 2000. We love this area and this property is simply a slice of riverfront heaven.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy each of the unique seasons the area has to offer. We enjoy swimming and floating on the river during the summer...there is no better place to be found! Regardless of the season, the year-round flow of the river is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. We continue to make improvements to add interest and fun for our guests such as the playground, orchard, and horseshoe pits, with many more project and improvement planned.
